Looking a little advice from all you Fabia VRS owners I might be looking for a second car kinda fancy a Fabia VRS seen a few on AT from 80-145k miles on them what should I be checking apart from the SFSH Turbo-Brakes-Gear change any advice please.
Big miles dont scare me if the car is looked after would any of the Limited VRS have been registered in 08 would be ideal as car will be imported to Ireland and has low emissions so cheap VRT thanks in advance.

Taken from another website....
Sabine Schmitz has released a video calling for help to save The Ring. Mis-management by the private owners of the track seems to be the cause of the problem.
Taken from worldcarfans.com
'Sabine Schmitz has issued a call for help to rescue the Nürburgring in Germany.
Yes, the infamous circuit with the legendary Nordschleife track known as the Green Hell which features in just about every other story we publish here is in danger of perishing. The place is in financial distress and in need of a bailout or rescue package.
How can this be? It's the Nürburgring! How can the place not be making money?
Oh, they handed mangement over to private investors who put in a roller coaster and wondered why nobody wanted to ride it? So much for private is better than public. Apparently, the mis-management borders on the criminal - it's certainly extremely corrupt with officials reporting wildly inflated attendance numbers.
The Queen of the Ring, driver of the Ring Taxi, also expresses her season's greetings to everyone in the video. The girl's charm is in how natural she is.
Watch Sabine's plea and then go to http://www.facebook.com/SaveTheRing see how you can help' other site http://savethering.org/

Went to start the car yesterday let it tick over for a while just to heat her up as it was -14 for the 5th night in a row.So I started it let it run for approx 20 min jumped in gave it a little rev and just tick over small rev but not past 3000 revs safe mode feels like, the frost must have done something only thing I can think on.
Anyone else have any trouble like this.

My VRS diesel just had the pressure plate replaced(if wrong some expert on here will correct me) when cold there would be funny noise till car heated 85,000 miles on it be two years old next month Skoda replaced it under warranty.
As for the snow driving rather have it that the manual but i turn off the traction control in case I need to steer out of sideways in a hurry.

I didn't even consider the size, it was more the fact that there aren't Neptunes on the FL? :S
Seems the folks down under have sussed it.....................
Terrible looking thing that not even the same honeycomb as the bottom Skoda bumper grill.
-
Lucky me,
I have the only FL white one in Ireland currently
Ahh dont think so one in Donegal for ages now.
-
Sounds like a fuel supply issue, have you changed you're fuel filter?
My car did the very same mine is 2009 VRS dealer could find nothing on computer, they unscrewed the dash (clocks) pushed in the connections back of the dash and no bother since.
-
Very nice lead foot I think the blue would look ok.
-
Has anyone color coded the chrome around the grill on the new Octavia any links ,photos would be a great help ( race blue even better)
-
Very nice I like that any price on it.
-
You'd definitely need 19s to look any good in a darker colour. 18" only just work with a low offset in a bright silver - they don't look that good when dirty.
Thanks do like the gunmetal but has to be 18in as it is company car.
-
Did you do the sensors yourself? I've just ordered a set from the bay, only £14.99.
Dame good price that no mate of mine fits them he bakes them in the oven at home before he fits them never flaked in two years.
-
+1 definately the same car, the zeniths are transformed in the right light!
Yes same car only noticed the wheels look different,Painted defuser white due to the poor quality mould from not so superskoda.com wanted to do it black but just was to many imperfections on it but turned out ok in the end I think,
And yes parking sensors are after market as well
