I had a 07 Scout with Bi-Zenon and the main beam was good for lighting the tops of trees. Now on a 67 plate VRS and the lights are amazing!

I have a 07 Fabia VRS that I carelessly slid into a bank with and damaged the front bumper and completely lost the fog light surround. I have tried the normal eBay sites and they all say they have them but none look the same as mine! So does anyone know where I can get a nearside one the same as the offside one in the picture?

Life is always better with a VRS in it! If you buy a lesser model you will have times that you will regret it. With the miles you are doing I would defiantly go for one.

I read on here somewhere that you could fix the problem by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. So ever sceptical I tried that, low and behold the windows that haven't worked all winter sprang into life! The next morning they didn't work again but when it warmed up in the afternoon they came back to life, and have been working ever since! Well worth trying before you start stripping the doors out! So many thanks to whoever posted it up, just can't find the OP anywhere?

I am in the process of sell one of my Fabia's and I made the mistake of leaving the key in it without starting it and it's locked it's self, complete with the spare key inside! How can I get in please????

I changed mine for the same LEDs as Vfr400boy, big differance!

Thanks to Ignition Motorsport at Newbury for sorting this out. The fault showed up as a engine speed fault, they cleared this and all lights are out and the problem has gone. The windows were something else, dis and re connect the battery fixed this, something they had done before!

I too followed the link, soon came out of it though! Is it usual for the management light to be on as well? jumped in it last night and it wouldn't start, showing flashing glow plug and steady engine light. it fired up a couple of minutes later and ran fine. Checking now and the brake lights work fine, but the windows don't open, any ideas???

It makes you wonder why you have to carry spare lamps on the continent, you would never be able to change them in the dark by the roadside!

There's one in the handbook, have you looked there?

See if this works! Strangely it was the off side! It started making a humming sound and very slowly got worse, no play at all but just this noise that got louder the faster I went! As you can see the bearings fell apart when we took the hub off, glad I did this before heading for Scotland tomorrow! The wet on the hub is easing oil, that took a bit of hammering off, moved it round a bit then got a chisel in there! Sand paper was used to clean it out before replacing.

My Fabia does the same, think it is the switch contacts.

Did the job today, not so easy on a 4x4 as the shaft gets in the way of the spanner to remove the hub, we overcome this by undoing the top mount and pulling the stub outwards until we had enough clearance. A lot quieter now with new hub, the old one fell apart when we took it out, looked like water ingress. I would put pics up but can't see how!

Can anyone tell me what the torque settings are for the rear hub nut on a 07 plate Scout, seems to be several about now I have started looking! The one I have is 180 Nm + 180 degrees. Is the procedure any different on the 4x4 than the FWD? Thanks for any help with this, bits are coming Monday with a bit of luck!

That was Shaun in the Scooby (on his 4th rally). You still finished 9 places in front of him! Was a bit wet!
