  1. Reviving an old thread and looking for some guidance. Hello Ed, I have a 2010 Superb 3.6 (3T, CDVA) and going through the process of practically refurbishing almost the entire front chassis suspension bushings, including those onetime bolts. For the front lower control arms, I have the option of going with the 'cast steel version' (OE ref: 1K0407151AC / 1K0407152AC) or upgrade to the aluminium lower arms from the Passat / Q3 (OE ref: 3C0407151G - belieft left/right are the same for these type). Plan to go with the aluminium ones and probably from Meyle (116 050 0072/HD) which has the HD rear console bush also. Could you please help clarify further what you meant regarding the Passat / S3 balljoints being not suitable for the Superb? Is it because some of the Passat models (like R36) used aluminium hubs and therefore also had different balljoints? As the Superb 3.6s came with 345mm front discs, I believe the steering knuckle should be of this type (OE LH ref: ' 1K0 407 255 AA). Example: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1k0407255aa-left-housing-china-17333.html. Not sure if aluminium hubs were provided on Superb 3.6. Based on part catalogs publicly available / decent OE (Meyle / ZF etc), the ball joint part numbers for the Superb are 1K0407365C/1K0407366C (VAG OE ref). Can I use the same OE ball joint reference when using the aluminum lower arms from Passat / Q3?
