Well I have decided on a new 15" wheel with all the tool kit and foam from a skoda dealer online. The more I dug the more confused I got with people advertising wheels for a mk3 which were really from a mk2 and here I understand they can be different bolts styles and bolt sizes as well (all this could all be bs from the internet of course) I though just get one from skoda which is not a space saver and the place it came from did my Yeti false floor and wheel some years back.

ah now that's a good idea Car arriving in a few hours so can measure up the wheel well and decide what I am getting ref the spare wheel.

I have just come across a fabia 4 complete wheel kit says for FABIA (PJ3) with 185/65/15 tyre. Does that have the same pdc etc. From the link I had it is just slightly bigger rotation wise https://tiresize.com/comparison/

I guess the question there is would a 16" wheel fit in the wheel well as my understanding is skoda have not done a 16" so may not fit. Don't have the car yet to measure

All the spares I find seem to be 15" for a Fabia

Hi. The try size is 185/55/ 15 and the Fabia will be 16's The dealer says The bolt pattern on both cars is 4x100

My wife is swapping her 2017 Citigo as it's being written off for a 2018 Fabia SE. The new car does not come with a spare wheel but the silly goo The new car has 16" alloys and the Skoda Saleman (nice guy) said that you would not Get a full size spare wheel anyway so rob the one from the citigo. The one is the citigo is 165/70 R14 is he correct and we can use that? Thanks

Hi All Wife’s 2017 Monte Carlo has issues with the selector when the car has warmed up. When it’s cold no problem at all but once warmed up, going left and right in in the neutral position is really stiff. Going in all the gears is fine though any one had any issue?

Hi All Daughter has a 61 plate greenline Fabia. She seem to have a fault with the exhaust gas temp sensor P054400 exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit - bank 1 She took it to the garage to get ti checked out the they say tested sensor supply voltage which is Ok, tested earth also ok. tested resistance of sensor which found to be open circuit, Advise to replace temp sensor and then test for any EGR faults. Looks like subframe will have to be removed to replace temp sensors as no access Anyone know if this is correct and the sub frame would need to be dropped or is there any other way as seems that could well be an expensive job

Sorry been away for a few days managed to get it done. Need to twist the holder a little and the holder comes out with the bulb attached

Thanks but I don't seem to have a metal clip liek you would usually find on a bulb. Difficult to get your head around to take a look in the whole but def no clip

Before I break anything can anyone advise how the bulb is held in on the 2017 model, can't even seem to get the wiring plug off and sure I am going to break something Thanks

Well you know car dealers, they tend to give little away. I know the dealer supplied the EGR valve to the garage to fit so I will presume it's a cheap Euro car parts jobby. It was only fitted on 1/12/2020 and she only has the car a weeks before EML came on so pretty shocking if it turns out to be the EGR it's self. Thanks for the link

Hi All Daughter bought a 2011 1.2 greenline a couple of weeks back and in the last day or so has got an error code up of P046C ref an EGR sensor. The guy she brought it from had this done when he bouight the car and put it onsale for sale and have seen the invoice done in Dec 2020. Could anything else bar the EGR valve it's self produce the code?

So guess it's the pump Swapped battery anyway and topped up the fluid. What a stupid place to put it as difficult to topup and not details about level or anything at all in the owner manual. Put a scan tool on and no fault codes either. Guess it will be a mobile mechanic as totally un drivable with no psu

I have a battery arriving for it today as no bad thing to change it anyway. I was juts covering all bases as need to travel a couple of hours later to do the job for her. I got her to start the car on sunday and leave it running. After about 15 minutes there was a small thud and the power steering light went out. She then took it for a drive and the light would flash and the power steering would come and go whilst making a small thudding noise which I though may well be fluid related..

Does anyone know what power steering fluid it takes? In the old days it was just Dextron but I don't know now. I see with halfords the is an atf type or synthetic for a start. I looked through the manual twice and don't find any reference to topping up let alone fluid type Thanks

Hi all Got a call from my daughter that the power steering light is on and no aid at all. It’s a 63 plate and only done about 29k. Does anyone know if this model still has a fluid bottle under that battery, anything else I can look for when I go and visit it tomorrow. cheers

So I been driving Turbo cars for donkey year and it was always drilled in to me that a car should tick over for 30 seconds before switch off to make sure the turbo has stopped turning and does not loose oil pressure. Has this changed as I don't see anything in the manual. My query really is if you come off the motorway to a roundabout with traffic lights and put the car in natural, the engine is going to shut off and the turbo could still be spinning . Just my thoughts
