Temp Sensor Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi All

Daughter has a 61 plate greenline Fabia.  She seem to have a fault with the exhaust gas temp sensor P054400 exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit - bank 1

She took it to the garage to get ti checked out the they say

tested sensor
supply voltage which is Ok, tested earth also ok. tested resistance of sensor which found to be open circuit, Advise to
replace temp sensor and then test for any EGR faults. Looks like subframe will have to be removed to replace temp
sensors as no access

Anyone know if this is correct and the sub frame would need to be dropped or is there any other way as seems that could well be an expensive job

What is the cars VIN or private message me the reg?

01348 (P0544)- Sensor 1 for Exhaust Temp Bank 1 (G235) - Circuit Malfunction

This is the EGT sensor in the exhaust manifold at the turbine inlet, VAG part number 03P 906 088 A and retailing at £179.23 at a Skoda main dealer. These are available aftermarket from reputable companies such as Bosch, VDO, Hella, NGK, Pierburg etc and a common failure.

If it does it's not a big deal, it could well be that the DPF will not clear the subframe unless it's dropped to make room, try looking at the job with your eyeses.

My phone does not have that app.

It is in the exhaust manifold before the turbo accessed from above.
