  1. I have that noise you get when a wheel bearing is on the way out its terrible!! Get to 60mph 2.5k revs and you get the droning sound. Which brand should I go for?
  2. OK so today I managed to find a break in the weather and 1hr free time to dive into this issue. I have managed to get access to the sensor located under the wipers on the passenger side next to what I believe to be the ECU. Once I go myself in it was easy to replace the unit and swap out. However, I still have the same issue!! So rather than it be the sensor itself could it be the wiring? Has anyone else had this issue? Current Error 9479189 [0x90A415] B10A415: Signal wire for air quality sensor, Open circuit/short circuit to B Sensor für Luftgüte - Kurzschluss nach Plus (Protokollleitung) Status: Test failed, Confirmed
  3. Ok this one is solved I had to change the Alram Siren again that sits under the wheel arch 20 min job to do!!!! All error codes gone and the alarm seems to work well and as expected. Only thing I have to solve now is the switch to turn off the internal alarm sensor (on the driver side piller) as this seems to now work has anyone done this?
  4. Pollen filter behind the glove box? Scuttle Panel Drain holes do you have any pictures or point me to a youtube video please?
  5. Hi All, Its that time of year when we have alot of water and for the first time ever Iam really getting that damp swampy smell issue. What I can tell you is its coming from the front of the car. The boot is clear and dry and no water under the spare wheel. Once I run the car it disapears but if left standing over night it will smell in the morning. What are the places I should be looking?
  6. Update I have replaced the internal alarm sensor but still have the same problem. What I have noticed is that when I sit in the car and set it off the lights flash but no siren mind you I may not leave it on long enough to kick in if there is a delay!? I think I will need to send this into the auto electrics to solve the problem.
  7. I got a new error code today which I think is pointing to the interior sesnsor can I get a second opinion please 3156 [0x0C54] Status: Test conditions are met, Validated and stored in non volatile memory
  8. Only thing is will I be purchasing one with a leak? Frying Pan to Fire.
  9. Ok so I need to go to the garage but can anyone think of anything I can try before hand?
  10. So basically a new headlight lens
  11. Hi All, It's that time of year again – rainy season – when I notice water in the front nearside headlight. My usual solution is to remove the light, take off the covers at the back, and leave it on a heat pad to evaporate the moisture. However, I'm wondering if there's a common entry point for water that I'm missing. I can't see any cracks in the headlight. Does anyone have any insights or similar experiences?
  12. Hi All, I've encountered an error code with some unusual symptoms – DTC 01134 Skoda. Yesterday, I parked the car, went into the house, and about two minutes later, the alarm went off. This occasionally happens, so I unlocked the car, ensured the driver's side door was properly closed, and relocked it. However, two minutes later, the alarm activated again. After scanning the car, I found the following error. I drove around the block, cleared the error, and tried again, but the alarm went off once more. Thinking the internal sensor might be the issue, I went to switch it off at the pillar. That's when I noticed the light wasn't on! I also observed that when locking the car, the light on the door card blinks four times, then remains solid red for about 25 seconds before starting to blink again. This is new to me; I always thought it just blinked. Back in 2020, I replaced the alarm siren due to the classic acid leak issue with a unit from AliExpress, which has been working great. When I lock and unlock the car, I still hear the beeps. I'm wondering if the recent heavy rains in the UK might have affected the wiring, or if it's time to replace the siren again? Would appreciate your thoughts!
  13. No I did not craking bit of advice and from the sounds of it I located the correct area and found it. My issue is getting one of the two Torx screws out. The scuttle that you need to remove the wipper blades for is stuck down with the front glass!!!!!
  14. Nope I still have the fault if you get further than me please share here!!!!
  15. My car is a 2010 so I should be safe!!!
  16. Really its not just plug and play?
  17. Hi All, Iam thinking of spending around £300 and swap out the old orignal head unit. Just wondering if there is any tip / tricks? Iam thinking of putting in a revers camera and have found the following units. Any one had an issue with battery drain after fitting a new unit? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32989037268.html top of the range unit Rear Camera https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000890907108.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.68684737mgEXl5&algo_pvid=9d9640e6-b7fc-48f8-b3bd-5a1460da4c4e&algo_exp_id=9d9640e6-b7fc-48f8-b3bd-5a1460da4c4e-0&pdp_npi=3%40dis!GBP!34.0!24.48!!!!!%402100b88516877737148064690d07b4!10000010453897384!sea!UK!100483637&curPageLogUid=qC6VZHc7A2sv I was wondering if anyone has setup there new headunit to also act as a front and rear dash cam when driving? Thanks in advance.
  18. @jaykyuI paid £33 for the part https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174140984957 And it took me a coiuple of hours to fiddle and fit but I went slow at my own pace. One thing I would do diffrently is rather than re attache with pop rivets I would install rivet nuts that way I can bolt on and take off really easy if ever needed. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lytool-205pcs-Professional-Setter-Mandrels/dp/B094XVN6X2/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=8PAO4APE5CH7&keywords=nut+rivet&qid=1685182552&sprefix=nut+rivet%2Caps%2C500&sr=8-3-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
  19. In the end I replaced the complete unit. Its a fiddly job with the plastic dowls but well worth doing yourself. I ended up riveting the pannel and speaker back in but if I was to do it again I would swap the pop rivet (blind Rivet) for a rivet nut and bolt allowing for easier removal next time. @jaykyu What did you pay to get it done?
  20. Well its happened the Front Drivers Side window regulator has given in. So the one big question is reapir or Replace what would ypou do or what have you dont. Replace Repair I have to say I like the repair option its a little more fiddly but I dont have to pop the speaker off and re revit. Out of interest if you have had to do this job did you rerevit or do you use bolts?
  21. @MicMac I have studied this video intently and cant find it on my own car. Can you see it in the video?
  22. Well I have attempted to locate the sensor but hit a brick wall. Well actual a black plastic one I think. Anyone know the exact location of the sensor? Here is a video of what I found or did not find! https://youtu.be/gNGiUDbScZg
  23. @Octan, Yes I did doing this Open the spherical expansion bottle and look in. You should see 2 metallic prongs descending into the coolant. Get a big (say 5mm) flat blade screwdriver and scrape it down each prong 2 or three times.
  24. Does anyone know the part number?
