  1. Hi All, Had the fowlloing error code pop up on the Skoda I have cleared it and it comes back and have repated this process over the last couple of weeks. I guess its time for a new one or before I do that you know somthing I dont? Look slike an easy swap out under the scuttle passenger side. Best place to purchase direct from VW or will OEM be ok? Thanks
  2. Well Iam supprised its that easy but it does look to have worked. I guess the only way to solve that problem is to change the tank!!
  3. Hi All, About 4 weeks ago I had the coolant flushed from the card and replaced ready for winter!! I was getting the coolant warning on the dash but this stopped once it was replaced. However last week it popped up again it has got cold -3 so I think its the sensor. I have the 1.6TDI 2010 and its just clocked 100k miles. Is the sensor a DIY job and does anyone know the part? I should also point out once the engine has been running for 10 mins or so if I switch the car off and back on the warning dissapears.
  4. Does anyone know what brushes fir the factory motor?
  5. Plenty what makes you say that?
  6. @MicMac Ok this would stop the motor when its cust out. But is this even possibly is the unit not sealed? I thought about doing this but then thought all I would do is have a constanst smell of WD40 in the cab.
  7. I have the famous squeak and sometimes cut out from the heater blower. No big deal 15 min fix but the options out there for parts range from £50 to £150 for a Valeo which is the original in the car. Is there really that big of a diffrence ??? What would you do??? Part Number 1K2820015G Thanks in advance
  8. I was going to mix it with the following!! Out of interest if I went pre mixed which brand would you use?
  9. Ok so 8.6 ltr it is!! Yes direction on the back have attached a picture just in case. Thats a bit of a bummer about the dropping from the rad! Means I need to take the plastic shield off.
  10. Hi All, Time to replace the coolant in my engine which is a 1.6 diesel. They say use G12 I have some concentrated G13 anyone know what amount I would need to mix up? Should I go with a simple 50/50 Mix? Switch to G12 or use the G13? I would typically dump the coolant from the lowest point on the radiator and I would actually empty it out twice once for a flush. However this car has the plastic cover on the bottom anyone know a good place to dump the coolant from that's possible easier? Thanks

  16. What about the following option? https://www.oemvwshop.com/1k0411105aq-coil-spring-p253355/
  17. Great question but no. However I would agree that it does sound like a sun roof.
  18. @Carlston Are you saying you would purchase VAG parts?
  19. I was thinking of the following which are SACHS https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SACHS-Coil-Springs-993-044-Discount-Car-Parts/291622179875
  20. I know but which brand to avoid?
  21. Yep it was spot on!!! However which is a good brand and which is worth skipping?
  22. @Wino Yes the labour will be the same that's why I thought I would ask the question. I would probably replace the rubbers on the shock. But here are the magical blobs
  23. Paint Blobs I was thinking what are they talking about but now I understand!! Anyone know the location on the spring as I will have to take a look. Year of the car is 2010.
  24. Well this got complicated I have tried the websites with my VIN number but no joy. @Carlston Out of the 4 options above we can take that down to 2 as my car is manual. Would anybody else do anything else to the struts while you have them off to change the springs?
  25. So my drivers side spring broke this morning - That was exciting not much has snapped off but probably going to need to replace. And I will do both sides at the same time. However which brand should I go for is there any difference?
