I live in Finland, there was a company that sold Celtic-Tuning remaps, I used that.
I have to say, when it started spinning the wheels on 3rd gear it did feel quite amazing
-
Ehm,
Not 100% correct, but isn't it at 2000RPM when the turbo activates, so you actually generate more power than a mowlawner?
I remapped my Skoda Superb II 140 PD, gained about 50-55HP, It's at 190-195hp right now. It's WAY quicker than it used to be, and it doesn't have the "low power" feeling at low RPM's anymore due to the turbo activating quicker now.
I suggest a remap for anyone with any kind of a car, they really make the driving more enjoyable. and quicker

I'm sure the 'hiss' is normal, and would be surprised if any replacement shocks don't hiss also.
The "hiss" isn't normal, it's your suspension wearing out I'm pretty sure..
I replaced my dampers with Bilstein B4's, the quality is 100x better, the car is so smooth and no noises when going over bumps or anything.

Looks like the metal part is used to fold the mirrors. Correct me if I'm wrong

Hey fellow Skodians!
I am going to do some exterior modifications to my car, and I wanted to ask about the diffusor and exhaust system.
My Superb currently looks like this https://gyazo.com/64d32e0e0408628684e0dd9b27b2a9fb
I want it to make it look like this https://gyazo.com/f10ad2d4bbdc84c4a08d01f6baf7bf77
Everything else should be easy, but is there any way I can fit that kind of an exhaust like the Skoda Octavia MK3 VRS has? It would just look amazing.
I want it to look like the BMW M550d exhausts or something like it. Also if I plastidip my diffusor, will I have any problems with the rear sensors?

Clogged DPF filter maybe?
If it is, I'd rather take it off and put a remap which will be a lot cheaper than buying a new DPF and fitting that.

Got a Celtic-Tuning remap from a dealership here in Finland.
140>196hp, I must say there's a VERY HUGE difference. The wheels started spinning on the 3rd gear full throttle.. The car is pretty much insane now, even won a BMW 520d F10
I fully suggest remapping to everyone, as the MPG is better, throttle response is way better, the torque feels a lot smoother and of course it's a lot faster. I've noticed that with the 1st gear I can go upto 60km/h while before I could only go 40km/h.
The engine is a lot quieter also at idle and while driving also.

Anyone has an idea if these would fit or not? Any info would be appreciated!

Hey,
I've been scrolling through the german ebay to look for some new brake discs + pads. I found some ideal ones, but in the car list it says it's only for the Mk1 superb, does the Mk2 superb fit mk1 ones also?
I asked my local Skoda dealer, and they said that my car has these exact 312mm (front), 282mm (rear) brake discs.
Here's also the link http://www.ebay.de/itm/Zimmermann-Sport-Bremsscheiben-Belage-312mm-VA-282mm-HA-Audi-A3-TT-Octavia-VW-/150844757057?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item231f0c5441

I had 225/45R17's they actually didn't make any difference in potholes and such or in the ride quality, for me.
The price between 17's and 18's were like 100-150€ here in Finland, so that's not really much at all.

Just out of curiosity, I have a 2008 Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 140HP (PD I'm pretty sure). How much do remaps cost over there in UK? Over here in Finland for a good remap, it's about 600€+ :/
It's really tempting to remap it, I am going to do it sooner or later tho.

I have 8.5J ET45 Wheels on my Skoda Superb II, the wheels in the front are pretty much flush with the arch, going 2CM even further out would probably go beyond the arch. In the rear they would most likely be fine, but in the front not.

Recently when my brother (who got his license a month ago) drives, when he is at a stoplight and releases the clutch a little so the car won't go down when it's a bit steep, and puts into the 1st gear and gives gas (as usual to get the car moving :P) the gear sometimes pops out for no reason. This never happened when my brother first got the license, only after a couple of weeks. Did he screw up the transmission or what could be the possible problem here?

The rear wiper is an optional addition by the way

I needed to change my plans, because my supplier was not able to deliver my wheels.
So my question is that will they fit?
Front 8.5x19 et35
Rear 9.5x19 et45
I think the 8.5x19 ET35 will slightly come out in the front, I have 8.5x18 ET45 all around, and they fit really nicely, flush with the arch in the front.
I could add about 10-15mm spacers to the back, but I can't be bothered with it since it already looks very nice.

I don't really remember, I just know the pedal was on the medal
Don't worry about the engine breaking or anything for the remap, the remap only helps for better. The only thing that could break after a remap, is if you have a heavy foot on the gas haha :p
EDIT : I have rougly 150k KM on my car :P
