  1. its now the day of the cars M.O.T hopefully it should go through without anything major, i do know it could do with a track rod end on passenger side though. tomorrow i have got to be up at silver systems for 9am to get my custom 3" bore exhaust system built and fitted to the car, really looking forward to this
  2. thanks so much for this matey i shall get onto collecting the required bits
  3. i have managed to find a list of required bits for this, this is for a car running a bam inlet 2 x 90 degree 76mm hard pipes with beaded ends. 2 x 90 degree 76mm silicone elbows in your choice of colour - these will need adjusting to length during fitting. 2 x 90 degree 76 - 63mm reducing silicone elbows in your choice of colour. 2 x 63mm alloy joiners. 2 x 76mm alloy joiners. 1 x 76mm 250mm length of straight silicone hose in your choice of colour. This needs to be cut into 2 lengths of 125mm to go on the end tanks of the cooler. 10 x 70 - 90mm jubilee clips 2 x 50 - 70mm jubilee clips. my question is what length are the 2 alloy joiners meant to be as it only states the size? i would also imagine id need to weld in a map sensor adaptor
  4. great guide, what size silicone hose is required to run down to the inner wing? id imagine a metre is enough but what diameter is it?
  5. defo interested in the catch can and lcr top mounts matey, the cars got its m.o.t this friday so if all goes well then i could take them off you if you still have them?
  6. great write up mate, did you ever get chance to list down all the required hoses etc
  7. well things are moving a bit quicker than expected my exhuast builder gave me a call yesterday afternoon to tell me he had a cancellation on saturday 24th october so my car will be going to him then he has explained with it being a 3" system it will be louder than a 2.5" but will do whats possible to silence it to something suitable.
  8. im in smallthorne fella should be moving to sneyd green sometime next year, where abouts are you pal
  9. well guys the modding for the 300+ project is starting earlier than expected, the car is going in next month for a custom 3" bore exhaust system this will join up to my existing 3" decat downpipe. im not going for anything loud and boomy or intrusive just something so i know its there with a nice note to it. i will try my best to get a few pics of the system for anyone interested
  10. hi matey thanks for the reply, should be great fun when done for sure its going be a slowly but surely progress but rest assured it will get there. Defo staying subtle the only difference visually will be the backbox and lowered suspension its at the bleeding wolf in scholar green mate next one is on november 8th if your interested? i should be going just as long as the wife hasnt dropped the baby by then
  11. is that vrs boot badge brand new? if so how much are you after delivered for it matey
  12. bit of a boring update the car has its m.o.t on friday 23rd october im quitely confident that it will pass no bother at all but with it having 152k on it it can be expected for some wear and tear. another thing i forgot to add to my little list above was fk coilovers, ill only be dropping the car no more than 30mm so it keeps it as practical as possible but give it a more planted look and a bit tighter handling wise
  13. dont worry that aspect is covered the system will not be anything intrusive ill make sure of that something inbetween a jetex silenced system and a piper system would be spot on i think
  14. right then everyone i have an update that i think will interest you all, after a bit of long thought and careful consideration it has been decided to go onto the next level with the car this should see us hit figures of 300+bhp and 300+ lb/ft so will totally transform the car from a relatively pokey motor into something that is much more like it for me. these bits will have to be purchased over the coming months and i have already actually struck deals for the lcr injectors, k03s crack free manifold to send for porting and an 80mm maf housing. i think the plan will be to next purchase the sytec fuel pump (as mine is certainly worn now) send the k03s manifold off to badger5 for porting and purchase wellycooler set up then once in my possesion get this lot fitted as it wont do any harm and it will be in place ready for when the big bits come into play. following this i think the exhaust system and clutch/flywheel set up would be next on the list to purchase/get fitted, then this would essentially leave the turbo and rods which wouldnt be a problem as all the supporting mods would already be in place, so get them into place take it steady for a bit then get it to bill at badger5 for mapping. this is the plan anyway bbt k300 turbo £775 leon cupra R injectors £60 ported k03s manifold £70 sytec fuel pump £72 vr6 clutch/g60 flywheel £200 fmic "wellycooler"/map adaptor £225 forged rods £480 custom 3" exhaust system matched upto current 3" decat downpipe £390 mapping £390
  15. got a quick pic of the car after yesterdays little detail really come up well again
  16. well todays plan is to give the car a wash and another mini detail with the help of my mate whos quite a bufty i always appreciate a hand as cleaning cars seriously starts my back off . were off to a local car show tomorrow called down n out its a vw based show so my car is more than welcome there. Im told they are expecting around 135 vehicles and there is also a beer festival on at the venue only problem with that last bit is im doing the go sober for october fundraiser which im sure is a charity that has affected all of us at some point. below is a link to my profile if any of you fine people would like to sponsor me. https://www.gosober.org.uk/profile/andyblunt
  17. due to unfortunate circunstances i have got to sell my recently purchased carbonio cai kit for the octavia vrs mk1 dont think i need to explain what these kits are all about. all i want is what i paid for it which is either £80 collected from stoke on trent or £88 delivered
  18. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151784266634?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  19. car had a full detail today am knackered now haha you cant polish a turd but you can certainly have a go new style rear skoda badge with the old octavia and vrs badges removed which i actually quite like and think its going to stay this way. front end looks so much better with the new style skoda and vrs badge fitted
  20. I have purchased a second hand carbonio cai kit for the car these always seemed to be rated as one of the best aftermarket induction kits for the 20vt engine. fingers crossed it will arrive before sunday as i will get it fitted that day and report back with how i find it. I fitted the vrs centre caps i purchased off ebay and they really suit the car will certainly look better once i get the wheels done in anthracite and fit the black wheel nut covers. still not had the backbox fitted yet (hopefully next month) i have also purchased a pair of the new style skoda badges for the front and rear of the car and also the new style vrs badges for front grille and boot which i will be fitting today todays biggest job is a full detail on the car, tbh it is crying out for a full respray now so many marks/scratches/stonechips.
