  1. I saw this on eBay when it it first appeared about 2 months ago, believe it sold for £2000 (unless it was removed for some reason or another). I can't see in the link what it's now being auctioned for? Incredible condition, but those mods are quite significant, it would be quite costly and a shame for it not to stay as an icecream van!

  2. 4wd belt driven. If I have one criticism of it actually it's the fact being marketed as a more entry level and child friendly brand it could do with a better belt design. There's a reason it's the only belt driven entry-level brushless... Belts really are for carpet racing! Small stones/dirt get under the rear belt and it has a habit of chewing through them relatively often (at £12 a belt :l ).

  3. Thought I'd join in this thread, always loved my RC stuff but never made the time to join a club or anything, so always just tinkered and messed around in carparks or the close.

It's only a Hpi sprint 2 flux but it's pretty tough and plenty quick enough for what I need! Quite versatile as it drifts OK too.

Had a bit of clearcut so I'm down to 1 chassis and 8 shells for 1:10 but here's my favorites:

(BTW if anyone has a Kyosho Laguna or any other BTCC /DTM/Touring shell for not stupid money count me interesed ;))

  4. I believe some guys on the Skoda Pickup and Vw mk2 caddy pickup Facebook page were having the same issues, don't believe they ever found a solution other than buying up plenty of new sumps when Eurocarparts had a sale on!

I mean anythings possible with enough time /money, but if you are going to mess around to that extent you might as well do an engine conversion!

  5. Great thread you've put together Riccardo , I'm sure it'll be really useful to a lot of people. I would have loved to contribute as I think I'd read somewhere there's something like 3 types of white for the Skoda pickup . However I've since discovered mine was repainted in Citroen Alpine white on the top and then the obvious addition of a similar to VW camper orange for the bottom half so not much use to this thread! I will see if I can find the original paint code out of interest though, as I believe under the bonnet and inside is still the original white ...

  6. The shock mounts may look surface, but has most likely come through from other side. Common rust point. You may want to look at it before this happens: post-121085-14609609848718_thumb.jpg

I had a quarter panel repaired last week, worth doing early as want to save as much as possible as there are no new panels for anything beyond the cab. You are correct it's to do with the hatchback structure underneath that causes the issue, my welder was explaining it to me. Always a compromise building a pickup on a hatchback platform!

  7. Hope the OP doesn't mind, this car will make a brilliant project, needs a little TLC here and there but for it's age it doesn't scrub up too bad, here's a photo from Castle Combe on Saturday

thanks, and thanks for the picture! :)

It's got a tow bar and 1000kg braked towing limit - surely that's enough for your citigo track car ;)

  8. New wipers, new Nearside rear tyre, new offside rear wheel bearing and 12 months MOT all carried out at Ricky FENBY of Frome.

    Advisories

Other 3 tyres have about 3mm left and their 3 valves showing signs of perishing

Slight deterioration on front nearside inner and front offside outer CV joints.

Also slight oil leak around engine area.

I meant to expand on the oil earlier on, ever since I've owned this truck I get a small mark of oil on the drive. I check the oil regularly (engine and transmission ) and neither change at all. The leak must be so slow and small I decided it wasn't worth the hassle/cost to investigate.

Obviously if you have some gold infused alpine white small pebble fairy blessed driveway or something you might want it sorted ;)

Just being totally honest, it's 18 years old and isn't perfect, any questions please ask :)
