Thanks for these points. Engine is not roo noisy and was drivable to garage. If I didn't do more than crawl in 2nd & 10mph the smoke was not roo bad. Awaiting garage having a look but with tour reply & checking around it's at least a new turbo if not terminal.

Hi. Have a 60 plate superb estate. Has run perfectly for years. Towards end of a 20 mile drive tonight, noticed white smoke from exhaust. Never happened before. Within a mike it had started to pour out so slowed off. Engine then revved itself to 6k rpm for a few seconds when I put gearbox in neutral & dropped back to normal. No loss of power or drive but engine is noisy. No warning lights, no overheating issues. Have had it suggested head gasket has gone. Got car transported home as amount of smoke made it unsafe on road. Ran engine when stationary & smoke came from engine bay. Anyone any ideas? Help much appreciated.

Hi Switch console on driver door has completely stopped working. Been told it's wiring loom breaks in door. No central locking, no elec mirrors. Rear offside elec window switch also gone. Anyone advise how much new loom will cost & good place to buy?

Front wipers work in all click positions. Press stalk down gets single wipe, press & hold for fast wipe. Rear wiper works as normal in click position. Pull stalk towards & front wipers/windscreen & headlight washers don't work. No noise from pump. On rear. push stalk past clicked position & wiper/washer don't work. Again no noise from pump. Stalk, fuses, pumps or relay fault? Any help appreciated.

Timing Belt & Water Pump, Haldex
Hawkeye13 replied to Hawkeye13's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Cheers lad -
Have a 4x4 Elegance estate on a 60 plate. Cambelt due at 120k, is it advisable to have water pump done at same time? Haldex is oil & filter change for 4x4 diff? Not aware if this has been done before, so will there be any potential problem if this is first time? Getting an occasional rocking movement in the car when it's stationary. Sign of loose propshaft or engine mountings?

Don't know if this is allowed, but have a set of 4 to get rid of. Taken off a 2010 Elegance estate. Not sure how to post pics. Anyone interested, I can email pics.

Turned out that this was the propshaft damper that had gone. Took it back to dealer within a week of purchase having notified them of the problem on the day it was bought. Problem sorted by them at no coast.

Sagging Leather seat base on Elegance
Hawkeye13 replied to Lemur's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Is this perhaps down to incorrect seat position? I can't seem to get a comfy position at all. Base on mine is showing a little sagging, but I am sat on it 10 hours a day. -
Have a 60 plate 2.0tdi 4x4 & new tyres are due. Currently Michelin, but can anyone recommend a better quality/value tyre. Also what is best option for rear pads & discs? Minted Bosch, Ferodo? What are on when supplied from factory? Thanks for any help.

Got front fogs working as daylight running lights
Hawkeye13 replied to skippy41's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
How does something that isn't actually visible in say, a side mirror, make a car more visible? having to look down to see them nullifies any real usefulness. Any evidence they do contribute to road safety over & above auto headlights? -
