I've had a Trophy and i loved it.
A great car, handles very very, easy to drive fast needs to be taken by the scruff of the neck though.
The engine is ver harsh, the driving position leaves a lot to be desired.
I would have another one though.
But my DC5 is everything the Trophy wasn't to me
invinitely better engine and gearbox, better seats, great driving position, great brakes and very individual.
If you've got 10K to spend then you'd find a good DC5.

A deterrent is what is needed.
There is none now so the criminals have a free reign to do as they wish with no consequence.
Bring back our complete right to defend ourselves/family/friends and property and then maybe we can change the current trend.
But while we cannot then us who are law-abiding will continue to suffer.

I'm going down on Thursday morning this year.
Am going with the PistonHeads/WRR group.
Our campsite is Beausjour, hoping its dried out from all th rain they had last week.
Am taking the Integra.
-
Changed front pads at least every 20K.
But front disc's lasted to just under 95K.
Rear Disc's and pads lasted to 100K miles before changing.
we're completely knackered though!!!

Point them in the direction of the robbing Labour goverment that everyone voted in but are now moaning about.
How could you all forget the
Labour = Taxes
equation.
As a nation 12 years of Labour goverment we are now paying 150 billion pounds more in tax(All taxes).
Good old new Labour...............

Well yes i do have a vRS on LPG.
And no i didn't "Blow" my engine up.
Just make sure you get a "Flashlube" kit fitted.
LPG has less lubricants than petrol and runs differently.
The Flashlube will also stop the valve seats from burning out like mine did.
I've had to replace the head not the engine.
I would convert any car in the future no question.
-
Yes you lot have fun and take it easy.
Its very expensive hitting the armco,i know from experience.

Hi WrightyRS,
Agree with most of what you have said here, and especially the last paragraph. A house is to live in and not to speculate with, as we have something called a stock market for that.
I liked what you where saying here.
I detest governments also, and won't give a vote to any of the rabble.
Soviet:thumbup::thumbup:
Hi, as a foot note, there is one thing that you have written which I am not agreeing with, and that is the right to bear arms. May be if the country is at war, but not otherwise, as it must be hell on earth to live in America where this right exists. have you by chance been following the history of film star Charlton Heston who sadly died recently, but was president of Americas rifle club, and did every thing to further the aims of the gun lobby.
Having lived in England/UK for many years now, I think this is something that we have thankfully managed without and certainly do not need. It is already bad enough with children being stabbed in schools, and so we do not need guns in schools also. I recall a school named Beslan, and the terrible things that took place there. You must surely remember this terrible thing, as it was shown on global news casts.
I think that you need to think really carefully about this thing that you are saying here, unless I have misunderstood you completely.
Guns are for a war situation, or protection of sovereign country, or for special police situations, but certainly not for widespread carrying by the ordinary citizen.
I am not racial, but most of current gun crime in the UK is among the black population, and between rival gangs of them, which is really a pity. We do have a bill of rights in Britain, which is how power was taken from royalty and given to parliament, during the reign of 'James the first' who was exiled to France, and this is the basis of the house of commons and all the parlimentary laws that have followed. I think that this was around the 1600's decade. I.e. royalty used to set the taxes, issue a decree for freedom of speech etc, but this was taken away from the king, when the bill of rights was drawn up.
Soviet
EVQ :-The American bill of rights was based solely upon the British bill of rights.
Soviet:rolleyes:
So do feel safer that you are not able to protect/arm yourself?
You tell/show evidence that banning guns in this country has made a safer place here or anywhere else that has similar laws and i will read and take it on board.
Also what would happen in generations to come if dangerous dictators come along and threaten our way of life?
I'm sure the people of Zimbabwe wished they still had there guns over the last few years so they could have tried to get rid of Mugabe.
But he banned gun ownership as he knew this was a threat to him and him staying in power.
Do you not fear the same could happen in the future in our so called "safe" western world?
I have lived in USA and in states where you can carry on your person after carrying out a state run course to get a permit.
And i have never felt scared.
In fact knowing i have the choice to protect myself and my family is very reassuring.
Using a firearm is a very skilled task, that there is no doubt.
I have had contact with firearms from a young age,and its like everything, education is what is needed.
The lack of education about firearms hinders our country and the hype in the press makes people even more scared.
I completely respect other peoples views on this subject i just like a good discussion and to try to open people minds to the other side of the whole subject.
Thanks for reading.

The only thing missing is that the American Bill of Rights is also slowly being evaporated.
You are right it is,
BUt do you think it will be as easily walked over as we are?
At least there Bill of RIghts stands for something and they/their representatives are prepared to stand up for it.
All ours do is roll over and believe the propaganda that the goverment sided press side with.
Since 1996 after the tragic event at Dunblane the Labour Party made owning a privately licensed Handguns/Firearms illegal.
Since that day Illegal gun/firearms ownership has increased at an alarming rate.
While this has been going on the normal member of our society has seen the criminal get away with even more and suffer no consequence for their actions, suspended sentences, probation and tagging.
The Magistrates/Judges have to worry about the criminals human bloody rights all the time.
What about the victims human rights?
If you break into/or damage my property/or threaten my family then like the USA you should RELENQUISH YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS AS YOU HAVE BROKEN THE LAW.
If i feel threatened then i should have the right to defend/protect my life/property.
If that meant i was armed and had a firearm and you got shot, you KNEW the risk.
If you look into crime statistics over the last 15 years the on statistic which i find very fightening in the reported RAPE figures.
Since 1996 which country do you think RAPE has increased substancially when the goverment tells us it has reduced.......
Since 1996 RAPE cases have increased by nearly 60% in this country,in Australia it has in creased by nearly 30%.
In all 52 states of USA,bear in mind that since 1996 40 of the 52 states have introduced "Conceled Carry Permits"(The Right to carry a Firearm on your person in a public place".
The reported RAPE attacks has dropped by nearly 15%.
Would be greater if you didn't include the 12 states.
So what does being an unarmed/unable to defend ourselfs say to you?
It says to me we are sitting TARGETS.
Do you feel comfortable knowing that?
I certainly don't.
I wish everyone would wake up VERY SOON.
-
R E P O S T
-
I object completely to all the changes that have been made over the last 12 years.
We have no bill of rights like the USA,and what we did have has been radically changed and in favour of the goverment.
The changes that Winston Churchill bought in after the 2nd World War to make us a more democratic/free nation have been erroded over the decades.
Our right to defend ourself has been taken away,we have no right to bear arms as that has been taken away.
WHO ARE MORE YOU MORE SCARED OF????
THE TERRORIST OR THE GOVERMENT?
I am more scared of the goverment and how many of our freedoms are being taken away from us.
Trouble is no one in this country cares, all they worry about is how much there bloody house is worth, its somewhere to live, not to make money from.

don't Do It...............
-
Well i love my Integra, was going to sell it but some new tyres and now the engine has a covered more miles its getting better all the time.
I will be replacing it later this year though,am going to get the new JDM Civic Type-R(FD2).
Test driving one this week and can't wait.
The thing i find having a VTEC engine is when i drive any other petrol car that "only" revs to 6200rpm they feel like a diesel.
-
I have my filler in the rear quarter pannel next to the fuel filler.
I have a silver vRS and it isn't colour coced but i'm not bothered.
One thing you should get fitted is a "Flash-Lube".
As LPG burns hotter than petrol and has less lubricants this will stop valve seats and guides burning out.
Is money well spent considering a new head/valves etc will cost over £1400.
-
Didn't like the Cayenne Turbo then?
I loved the one i spent a bit of time with except how juicy it was.
But was always amazed how something so big went round corners the way it did.
I love the Quattroporte but wouldn't go hear one,the gearbox from what i've heard is horrible, unless your getting one of the brand new ones.
For that sort of money i'd be getting a BMW M5/RS Audi/AMG Merc as parts and servicing are epic on a Maserati.
Look forward to hearing what its like anyway Heather.
-
Mine runs a Impossible re-map/FMIC/Full Exhaust/CAI on LPG and its fine.
I've no idea what LPG kit your usuing but most of the modern ones use the map thats on the ECU so if you re-map it will use whats there.
It might pay to get it check tuned by your installer afterwards to make sure its all ok though.
-
I wish it was the battery, that would be easy.
The battery will turn the car over for along while, infact until it eventually starts.
-
Hey everyone.
Need to rack some of your knowledgable brains on a reason why my car won't start in the mornings.
Its over fueling, well thats what i've been told but it did used to smell of petrol when trying to start it.
I have already changed the usual suspects:-
The coolant temperature sensor
All 4 coil packs
Spark Plugs
The Fuel control relay
The cold start regulating valve
It has been to one garage who know's VAG's very well and they couldn't work it out.
It is now at another place as thought it might be the LPG conversion but it isn't that.
So can the Briskoda collective give me any other ideas or if anyone is near Essex who thinks they will be able to fix it please let me know.
Many thanks in advance.
-
The dreaded power figures issue raises its head again.......
The truth is out there, keep searching............
-
So spending many years getting your licence and type approvals to fix aircraft isn't education enough????
Most engineers know far more about an aircraft than a pilot does.
-
Yes you can when needs must!!!!
Done it on a bike for many years, just next year is a no go for many reasons.
But i do understand where your coming from.
-
Lovely island, lived over there for a year or in the quarter bridge area in Douglas.
Would live over there at the drop of a hat if the work was there.
Yr very lucky,so you got some room for 4 visitors for the TT next year?
Not on bikes next year,in the car.
-
So its all his fault, nothing to do with the over paid prima donna's who have to kick the ball around and score the goals.........
They are the ones to blame, they aren't hungry to win, they have it all already.
Is it wrong to love a car
