  1. Hi, glad to hear it's still going strong. I had an Edition 100 a while back now and yes it did have a rear blind, it was a manual job to pull it up/down.
  2. These are all individual letters, not one badge as such. I lost the 'i' off mine when cleaning it but managed to get it glued back on.
  3. Turns out there was an intermittent fault on the lambda sensor which caused this.
  4. All doors display as open on the dash including boot/bonnet. I've scanned the car with OBD11 and it shows a fault with "control unit" when you try to go into that it says it's not responding, check ignition and try again. Have never been able to access it. Just wonder if whatever that 'unit' is, is dead? Would have expected other issues also though? Still need to check the wiring in the cable trunks.
  5. It does yes. This is the only way I can open the boot at the moment. I (think) I've located the module. Any idea's how this it removed from here? I can't see any housing holding it in
  6. Evening, the remote locking stopped working on the car today. No response from any of the buttons. Battery in the key is good and I've checked the fuse. Looking at previous posts would this be the convenience control module that needs replacing? If so is it easy enough to do or will it need coding to the car?
  7. That's really helpful thank you
  8. My Octavia seems to have a really soft suspension (probably the same for all). I tow quite a lot with mine and it sits really low when loaded, scraping most speed bumps as a result. Is there anything that I can change/add to help prevent it sitting so low?
  9. That's what they quoted me from one of their little shops on a Sainsbury's car park. They remove the electronics from the broken one and put in a new replica housing. Only difference is you wouldn't have the Skoda badge on it
  10. Timpson's do them for £50
  11. Hi, Once a week the car has started doing this. It will run just slightly under 1000 revs, when you move off from stationary it will kick out smoke, a mixture of greyish and a little blue. You can smell smoke in the car when it is running like this. It will do this whether the car is cold or warm. I've taken it to 2 separate garages to get the DPF cleaned. Both have said it does not need doing as the levels are quite low. One advised to change the glow plugs (which I've done). No warning lights on dash (did have the DPF light a couple of times last year which led me to believe it was linked to that) but cleared up after a run. This issue will clear after a bit of a consistent run (regularly on the motorway so no real issues). It's approaching 190k and pretty much on original everything (clutch, turbo, DPF etc). The last garage I took it to advised to put some Lucas oil stabilizer in on the next oil change. Car has a full service every year and runs on Shell V Power (If that makes any difference). No loss of power, can be very very slightly lumpy when it is doing what ever it is doing. Any ideas what is causing this. Suspect a sensor failing or something? No idea really. The garage that checked DPF with VCDS said there were no other indicators.
  12. Spot on mate thank you
  13. I've replaced my Columbus unit (that died) with one of these, have the same problem, the trim is too wide around the head unit. Did you just find your old one or did you buy one - if so where from/which part? Cheers.
  14. Cheers for response. I'd read this also. Trying a local car audio repair to see if they can sort.
