  1. Thanks for the information. Car has covered 71k miles - supposedly well within the 120-140k expected lifespan of the DPF
  2. Advice please: Bought a Skoda Approved used 2017 Octavia SE TDI from a Skoda main dealer with a one year warranty. Had the car 3 months and the Diesel Particulate Filter is regenerating very often so I've booked it in with the dealer to check. They are charging me £132 to diagnose the DPF and say this will only be waived if the DPF is found to be faulty. I was surprised at being charged. Is this correct under the Skoda warranty ? TIA
  3. Although you have been duped and a criminal act has been committed I'd advise you to avoid the legal route if at all possible. Go to the dealer armed with your evidence of clocking and demand ALL your money back. If they reject this, say you will report them to Trading Standards. Getting solicitors involved will cost money and small claims court actions far too often fail with dodgy dealers wriggling out of responsibility. Good luck
  4. The adapter on Amazon looks as though it would do the job but it is out of stock unfortunately
  5. Thanks. Not tried that method but as I have 35 litres of diesel to put in, I think it would be a very tedious process 🙁 Thanks. Not tried that method but as I have 35 litres of diesel to put in, I think it would be a very tedious process 🙁
  6. Please does anyone know how to fill the diesel tank using a fuel can rather than a filling station pump ? The car's anti siphon device in the filler neck prevents this. Is there a funnel or adapter for this ? Rang my local Skoda dealer - they were clueless. Same at Skoda UK. So I have 35 litres of diesel drained from my scrapped Mondeo that I cannot use - help !
