Thanks for letting me know, it must be a regional mast issue then.
-
I've tried both DAB and web radio, I signed upto the cubic e-SIM data plan too.

Yes, I'm quite close to the blue area West Leeds. DAB was fine on previous superb car with Radio 5 n same area so you could be right, it's a mast issue. I've only had the car for a few days so only done a small journey and that would have been into the blue lol. I'll make sure I try again when I go to a different area.

Hi I'm hoping someone can help. I have a brand new Skoda Superb SE L estate and it comes with the Bolero Radio. I always listen to BBC Radio 5 LIVE and this is the first time I've been unable to find it on a car! Do I have to resort to my phone connected to get this station to work? Web radio just won't find it. My 2018 equivalent car found it no problem and lots of DAB stations. This car seems to have a very limited DAB selection. Am I missing something here? I can get all other BBC Radio stations listed, just not Radio 5 through the search options. Help! Thanks Mark

Hi I have a 68 plate leased (no V5 registration document) Skoda Superb 2.0 Diesel SE L executive and cannot find the plate on my car to inform me of the kerbweight and other related weights. Can anyone advise? Thanks Mark

Hi I am hoping for some advice on the performance of my car on towing a caravan I have recently purchased. Car: 1.4 TSI Estate Elegance (2011) Caravan: 800Kg unladen I deliberately bought an older caravan as I knew my car was light; older caravans were built lighter so it seems and actually worked for us in terms of the design & price :-) for the current car - probably looking to change to a Superb Sportline/Technology Estate Diesel in a couple of years. I've been informed that 150kg would be a reasonable amount to add on for fully laden i.e. 950kg and the car can tow 1200/1250kg so 79% ratio seems OK but I would like to know if anyone has had anyone experience in towing using similar car model with similar caravan weight or heavier and what performance on pulling is likely and mpg (obv not as good as a diesel). I am concerned that towing might well put pressure on the turbo and the bearings........... Thanks Mark

Cruise Control is no longer working
Hughesy replied to Hughesy's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hi Finally got around to doing the cleaning tonight and it worked so I am very grateful!! I noticed some white gunk on the circuit board immediately so cleaned it off and cleaned the contacts as well just in case. The build was different to that in the PDF but was close enough to help and so saved me from taking it in to a dealership and costing £££. Cheers Mark- 6 replies

Hi I need to turn off the front passenger air bag in my 2011 1.4tsi estate. Can anyone please advise on how I would do this? It is so that I can put my son in a front facing car seat on the passenger side. Thanks Mark

Hi Thank you both very much for your posts. I'll try the cleaning option first and see how it goes and then the soldering permanent fix. Thanks again. Mark- 6 replies

Correct placement of front roof bar onto roof rail
Hughesy replied to Hughesy's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hi I tried that, however, the boot clangs that back of the roof box and I want to avoid that, for one so that I don't mark the box or the boot and two so that I don't bang my head. Thanks Mark -
Hi First time use of roof bars so I am needing some advice on fitting the roof bars onto the roof rails on my skoda estate. My concern is around the front roof bar location for locking onto the roof rail Due to spacing requirements between the roof bars I am needing to place the frontal roof bar on the "downward slope" of the roof rails. Question is, is this safe and normal practice, I would have preferred to have located it further down the car on the rail, however, due to the stem on the rail I've needed to place the rear roof bar "in-front" of the stem and therefore the spacing needed the front bar to be on the downward slope. Can anyone please advise? Thanks Mark

His This may seem a very simple thing to ask but I simply have been unable to change the time on the cluster display and skoda auto Amundsen radio. I've gone through the manual for the radio and searched on-line. Please help. Thanks Mark

Hi I generally do short commuter trips so unsure of my best mpg in this car. I will be going on a long journey soon, approx. 1,500 miles in a short period and wondered what I would be likely to get as it will mainly be motorways. What speed should I do in this car to get the best mpg. Thanks in advance. Mark
