Mine went to Copart, winning bid was around £4200 plus fees !! Its now back on the road as the new owners contacted me. Unfortunately I could find a VRS at the time & now have a Tiguan, but I do miss the VRS

Don't forget to have the rear alignment done after fitting the springs as it will be out. Ps this may help from on of Mike's threads ...https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/364761-replacing-rear-suspension-bump-stops-on-octavia-2-lots-of-pictures/

This was mine last year .... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/417405-not-a-good-day/#comment-4759213 .... outcome.... she was written off. Insurance offered £7,800, hope you get it sorted

Catzeye I had to replace one on my no longer with us F/L VRS.... got mine from here ....https://brakeparts.co.uk/#!/shop/SKODA/OCTAVIA/04-13/OCTAVIA 2.0 VRS DIESEL 170bhp -VIN:1Z/Rear - Brake Calipers and Wheel cylinders/BCA3895D just put in your reg number.

I did mine on the Tiguan last week ... nightmare as it kept chucking out "sporadic communication" with trailer module. A quick call to Westfaila Tech all sorted conversation went like this....."Have you followed the instructions ? Yep, you'll have them in the wrong fuse holders" !! It needs a permanent live for the three additional wires. Glad you got it sorted

Kaspian check this list out https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com/ I'm sure someone would help out, cheaper than the dealers !!!

UPDATE !! Just heard back from the body shop.... she is repairable including a new tow bar  Just waiting for the OK from insurers ...
-
Luke Do you still have the VRS for sale as I maybe needing one very soon !! Mine got rear end on Friday ( pic's in MkII forum ) Its going in on Monday to be assessed, I'll let you know if its a total loss ( if you still have yours) Paul
-
Yep I'm thinking the same Mike, its the middle beam of the tow bar that's bent it was a similar shape to the crash bar... it certainly isn't now !!! The force has jammed the detachable in its holder
-
Hi All Jenny took the dogs to Hornsea beach yesterday .... & on the way back this happened, repairable or not ? The tow bar has taken much of the force which has pushed the rear inner panel back, the spare does come out OK but is a little tighter than before !!! In pic 2 & 3 you can just make out a crease in the upper rear drivers side panel, Jenny & doggies are all OK Thank god. The **** that caused it said that she braked hard even thou she was stationery at a roundabout waiting to turn left !!! Good job I wasn't there !!! Car is booked in Monday to be assessed, Pi--ed off is an under statement !!! Paul http:// http:// http:// http://

Keep your Bora.... as you say its built to LAST !!! -
Hi All It seems after changing the air-con pump & condenser last year the ( i think ) low pressure pipe which runs from the condenser to the bulk head is losing oil from one of the Ferrell's joining the rubber hose. Looks as thou it needs the full pipe from the condenser to the bulk head & seems a right Ba------d to change !! Any suggestions/ guidance very, very welcome or even the part number would help Paul
