I've found the answer.... http://excesstext.com/2016/04/04/detailer-tip-stopping-creaky-door-noises/

I think the lane control is great on the motorway, it's just anoying on normal roads, for instance, coming to a point where the road norrows but remains as 2 lanes due to bridge parapets, I have to move towards the white line, but the car insists on pushing me towards the brick parapets - not helpfull.

I feel your pain, need to turn it off by default. -
Our Monte Carlo Arrived 8 Weeks after order, all present & correct.

I've figured out the noise, it's actually the door seals rubbing on the paintwork. You can stand outside the car, push the top of the doors to re-create the noise, there is obviously a fair bit of flex in the chassis.

Jusy Hit 1000 Miles in our MonteCarlo & i'm starting to notice a creak, especially when reversing off the drive. It sounds like the whole inside of the car is Creaking, anyone else experienced similar issues?

I'd rather carry the car home on my back, that's rediculous.

Was thinking about one of these... http://www.tooled-up.com/product/black-decker-pad1200-dustbuster-flexi-auto-vacuum-12v/197020/ The Dyson has an extending hose, it's constantly trying to reduce in length, so it rubs on the car or pulls the vac ito the car :-)
