  1. I think picture 4 is Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers. Not Jean-Jacques Burnel. The photo is similar to the front cover photo for his book 'The Stranglers, Song by Song'. See - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stranglers-Song-Hugh-Cornwell/dp/1860743625
  2. It's Burns Night - 25th january. Will you be having a wee dram? I've just poured myself an Aberlour 12 year old single malt Scotch. Sláinte
  3. Yes, another vote for Reacher. Excellent series. I think Alan Ritchson plays the part well. I've read every one of the Reacher books by Lee Child. I got into the books after watching the two Tom Cruise Jack Reacher movies.
  4. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned previously, but I'd recommend the series Babylon Berlin. Absolutely superb crime / social drama - set in 1930s Berlin. The programme is in German, with English subtitles, but don't let that put you off. I believe it was shown on Sky. I bought the DVD box set off Amazon - Babylon Berlin series 1-4 I'm now reading the books by Volker Kutscher. ----- High-end, award-winning German noir, BABYLON BERLIN is one of the most ambitious international dramas to be shown on British screens. Based on the crime novels of Volker Kutscher this brilliantly intoxicating series is set in pre-World War II Berlin and follows the investigations of Inspector Gereon Rath, (Volker Bruch), and his ambitious colleague Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries). This DVD collection includes all four series. SERIES ONE: A shell-shocked Rath uncovers a tangled web of corruption when investigating 1929 Berlin's seedy underbelly. SERIES TWO: Rath awakes after a long night to be faced with a new case - the massacre of the Red Fortress. SERIES THREE: When a film star is killed on set Rath has a murder investigation on his hands. SERIES FOUR: 1930's Berlin and Rath's investigations lead him into the boxing milieu - and politically, uncomfortably close to Hitler's militant supporters. -----
  5. Regarding showing the maximum speed permitted on certain roads, the navigation app Waze does this. I use it connected through Android Auto. Waze on Google Play
  6. My Christmas gifts included a trio of Glenfiddich miniatures and a bottle I've not tried before - Auchentoshan American Oak single malt.
  7. Hi You can maybe search through the Karoq forum or ask a question there. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/364-skoda-karoq/
  8. Hi Tom Before I had the Karoq I drove an Audi, which didn't have a parking ticket holder. I bought a Tikettak off Amazon for just a few pounds - easy to fit with just a sticky strip and reliable. Link: Tikettak - windscreen permit, ticket and note holder
  9. After liking the Green Label, I thought I'd give some other Johnnie Walkers a try - starting with the Black Label. For a blended Scotch, it's not too bad at all.
  10. Don't dismiss all whisky... It's an acquired taste.
  11. I'm not too familiar with Johnnie Walker whiskies. I've recently watched a few videos praising Green Label, so bought a bottle to try. It's a 15 year old blended malt made up of whiskies from Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore and Caol Ila. On the whole, I thought it very palatable - a blend of rich fruit cake, oak and smoke. Yes, I would enjoy it again.
  12. Hi MIck Sorry, I can't advise regarding the part. I swapped my wiper blades for Bosch at my local Halfords - they changed them for me while I waited.

    Karoq pictures

On our last trip to Scotland we stopped off at the Beinn Eighe car park near Torridon, hoping to see the local celebrity - Callum the Stag. He was there and was very happy to pose for photographs, and he took quite a liking to the Karoq. 71 plate Skoda Karoq Sport Line 1.5 TSI DSG in metallic Race Blue. (If you type Callum the Stag into Youtube you can see several videos shot by other visitors to the car park.)
  14. Yes, the missing Classic FM logo bugs me as well. It's my most listened to station. Prior to the Karoq I had an Audi which had every logo. There's quite a few missing on the Karoq screen.
