What about the things that annoy you?
llandai replied to Iamholam's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Few small little things I've noticed but don't really bother me. Quality of door cards is pretty poor as is the floor carpet. I got carpet floor matts with the car, very poor quality, almost worn through them in a week and a half while waiting for the rubber matts I ordered (which are great)! The Alcantara seats are already showing signs of slight bagging after just 3 weeks but seems to be a common enough occurrence. The one thing I am finding abit irritating is tyre noise! Has anyone else had Bridgestone Turanza BR300 tyres fitted from the factory and finding them very noisy? Other than that I'm loving the car. -
octavia detachable tow bar

I was appalled by Skoda's prices too so got an aftermarket Thule detachable towbar fitted during the week by a towbar company here in Dublin, cost me €370 instead of €650 that Skoda wanted! -
Thanks for all the replies guys. Actually ordered the Nilfisk E130.3_6 which is a step up from the one I was originally looking at. Comes with better motor, hose and reel etc plus a load of accessories and was 200pounds on Amazon so alot cheaper than I could find anywhere in store over here.

Had seen them before alright, certainly seem like decent value!

Cheers Chris, I found the Autobrite package on their own site. Looks like a good deal with 5l of foam alrite so will go with that.

I was talking about using as a water source.

Looking at getting a pressure washer for the car as well as for other jobs around the house and have narrowed it down to the two models in the title. Just wondering if anyone has experience of either machine or brand and which they would recommend. I know with the Karchers you can connect a suction hose to take water out of a water barrel etc(could be very useful with water charges coming soon), can the Nilfisk do the same? Haven't seen any mention anywhere of them being able to do this! And also while on the subject what snow foam lance and snow foam would be good to go for? Thanks for any suggestions!

Pretty similar to Terons alright without the indented part, and bigger obviously as you say. I like them too, I'd like them even more if they were on my car though!! -

There seems to be quite a few differences between the Irish and UK specs/options for some reason. -
Fitted my Superskoda struts today, very quick and easy to install and work great, no crunching sounds thankfully!!! As has been mentioned before they don't come with washers, luckily had some in the shed that did the job but overall very happy with them and should make filling up the windscreen washer a lot easier when I have to do it.

Headlights on auto, when do the turn on main beam?
llandai replied to Gromle's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Pretty difficult to see in your pics alright, I presume they change when you adjust the dash brightness as well? I have my dash lights set at 70% and you can see the symbols pretty clearly.
