  1. That's a shame I ran my 57 plate PD VRS TDI for nearly 100,000 miles and 9 years with only a faulty DPF sensor apart from that it was flawless! I've now done nearly 7000 miles in her big sister and I've only noticed a regen once when I turned the car off and the fans were still running. Just drive it that's all I do without even considering the DPF or regens!
  2. Are they these ones? If so they look good!
  3. If they're good enough for a Lamborghini Huracan they're good enough for me!!!
  4. I'm not sure if fitting spacers the tyres would rub the inner arch when I'm fully loaded and towing my caravan, any thoughts?
  5. I have to pay for my car and the fuel as it's my own!
  6. Hi Paul, I do rate the car very highly as an overall package. Performance is good for a 184bhp diesel, plenty of torque and with the grip of the 4x4 it's definitely a lot quicker of the mark than my previous Mk2 diesel VRS. No more wheel spin judder just grip and go! I don't drive like miss daisy and usually average between high 30's to low/mid 40's. With passengers mid to high 40's. I've not tried a max mpg run yet. It's certainly a lot more now than when straight out of the box as I was high 20's low 30's. I do lots of miles commuting and I also tow a large caravan so petrol was not in the equation. I've done 7000 in 4 months. I do think if I wasn't towing and covering such high mileage I would be driving petrol though! Not sure if you can order a diesel 4x4 again yet? It's a nice decision to have and only you know what's right for you. Keep me posted! Jok
  7. 19's all the way for me, i debated this myself for long and weary then plummeted for the 19's! You'll not be dissapointed, they are also easy to clean as you can squeeze your hand through the holes and clean the inside of the wheel too! My mini 10", XR3i 14", Golf GTI MK2 16V 15", Mini Cooper S 17", Honda Civic Type R 18", Octavia VRS MK2 18" and presently VRS 4x4 combi 19"s it's logical progression I'm not even biased!!!
  8. Or select manual mode then use the paddles!
  9. Set the cruise control it changes gear at 2500rpm in sport on mine!
  10. Having done 5500 miles since mid November and always fill the tank past the first click I have never once noticed any sloshing yet. I'll keep my ears peeled.
  11. Yes mine is over the 85% recommended too, MTPLP 1510kg. I was pleased with the towing capabilities although I did have a little snaking when I was on an exposed section of motorway on a windy day travelling at 62mph, I just eased back on the speed to mid 50's and she was fine. Your van is heavier but i'm sure she'll tow fine.
  12. What site are you using to outfit match? I'm sure the kerb weight of the car is 1572kg but i've been wrong before!!! On the towcarinfo site it has the kerb weight as 1488kg but you can amend this at the bottom of the page. I try to ensure the car is well loaded and not run the caravan at full payload too!
