  1. Hi there

Sure, here you go. Not a lot of sun here nowadays, but I hope it gives you the idea. I also have the factory tinted windows.

    Cheers

    Gyuri

    thanks a million!

You've done exactly what I was thinking so it's great to see it in some real photos.

Last thing, do you happen to know what percentage the factory tint is?

  2. Fellow briskodians, this is good stuff.

Much like tommi pommi here I used only 2 clips for the hatch, and I ordered magnets so I have those installed. Not a joy I will be honest and for me the fit is not 100% either, however all 3 pieces sit smugly, easy to remove if needed and provide the nice cool shade as advertised

One more note: the hatch shade is not the same quality as the sides one that you can see in the videos on the Laitovo site. My guess is that since they are angled they would completely block the view for the driver as well.

Photos attached, questions welcome. Overall I am pleased with it, if any of that changes (since I did not drive a meter since it's installed) I will post back.

Thanks for the follow up posts - really useful! How have you found them now you have driven around for a while with them?

Also, any chance you could put up an external picture or two (e.g. side on with doors shut) - we have the same point colour so would really help me to decide finally - I'm 95% sure about getting these ones :)

    Thanks Gyuri

  3. I just found this, after quite some search

    https://www.winparts.nl/interieur-bekleding/privacy-shades/skoda/octavia-5e3-bouwjaar-2012-11/c187-559-30701/zonwering-skoda-octavia-iv-hatchback-5drs-2013-3-delig/p383081.html

Why I kept looking: I don't like the vanstyle thing with the split rear screen, sonniboy only makes for estate and mine is a hatch (and it's stupid expensive), x-shades seemed awesome but is inaccessible apparently

Has anyone ever tried these Laitovo thingies? I am very tempted to order, just thought I check in here first

Those look good, much better than some of the other options I and others have found. Did you decide to get some in the end?

  4. So I've been digging around these threads and from what I can see, am I right in saying there isn't a screen option for the hatch without the line down the middle of the rear window, as per the Sonniboy ones?

I like the look of the Sonniboy ones and would go the cost but not for that ugly line down the middle!!!

  5. Thanks all, never noticed before when filling screenwash, just coming up for 9,000 miles and not due a service whilst with us.

Will keep an eye on it.

No worries but do pop into a dealer and have it filled up to the correct level. Don't leave it low like that [emoji106]

  6. I've a 2015 Octovia Scout, noticed tonight that the coolant level is above the pipe but below the min line.

    Is anyone else the same?

When was the previous check? It shouldn't drop much if at all

Mine did this when it was about 6 months old but had all checked and pressure tested etc., no problems, level topped and fine since. Suspected air in system since build had worked out and caused the drop.

  7. Sounds like a pain in the backside, glad you got it sorted.

I always read posts on here about tyres and interesting you seem to be the first (from memory) to think the F1's are noisier. Most people complain about the noise from the SC2's and find the switch to F1's much better [emoji2]

Also wondering, were you right down to the minimum on the thread on your old ones? I've 23k on mine and they're still good...

  8. Hey folks, this Wednesday is D day for ordering my new VRS. I love the look and spec of the 230, but I still can't get my head around the wheels. I'm defo ordering black, but it seems strange black, with the black pack included, yet the wheels have shiny bits on them...Your comments will help me decide..Be it upon your head :notme:

Let's have a few pics there and we will sort this out for you [emoji23][emoji23]

  9. I got a low tyre pressure warning the other day after having 2 new front tyres fitted. When I checked the Bolero system it showed all 4 tyres in red.

Is this how the system should behave? I would have thought it would only show suspected tyres in red.

After checking the tyres and not finding any problems I did a recalibration. Since then everything has been OK

Also, the infotainment highlights all the tyres irrespective of which one it is etc. Just like it highlights the fuel tank when the needle is in the red

  10. Hi Everyone,

I've just put my "stock" summer wheel set (18" turbines + continental sportcontact2 225/40 R18 92Y) for the 1st time on my car.

I'm pretty surprised and honestly speaking disappointed with noise level / characteristic :@. My Winter set was based on 16" Nokian wr d4 and in comparison performed quieter (wtf ?!)

    Does anyone have similar observations?

It's quite a lot of money, so now I'm only thinking about change, hoping that the noise would decrease and/or I would get used to it...

    I'm also considering slightly higher profile (+5..10) and/or 215 instead of 225.

What tyres could you recommend with decent performance / low noise?

I've the same, L&K so Turbines with the SportContact 2. I can't wait to change them. Loud and bumpy. I think it'll be Goodyear F1's for me.

There's a good few threads on here with similar information in them, people finding the ride bumpy, as so on.

Although I've plenty of thread on them so I can't justify it - I'm presently tempted to change the springs and dampers - it's be about the same price as pricey tyres!  :D

  11. Three weeks of ownership and a lorry making a last minute decision to leave the M1 throws a stone up at my windscreen.

It's left a very noticeable chip right in the centre. I'm gutted. :(

    Ah balls!! Typical

Thanks for the reminder. I noticed last week I have the tiniest nick in mine, only cos I was cleaning the glass did I notice it. Have never had to replace one ever, would you advise I change it? Almost seems like a waste though I knew they can creep and crack. It is tiny!!!

    Or have it repaired somehow?

Sorry for the semi hijack on the thread but it's all on topic I guess!!

  12. On top of above, all else I could suggest is have the repair done by a Skoda approved repairer, wether it's an insurance payout or private payment then at least you're less likely to have any hassle with the trade in. Though you could always get it fixed in time and say nothing to the dealers!

Sorry to hear anyway just coming out this same **** as you. Got a rear end tip and so much hassle getting it sorted
