  1. This is a set of brand new front wind deflectors for a Mk2 Skoda Fabia. Part no: KCD-709-001
I bought them from a Skoda dealer and they have never been fitted. They come in their original box with fitting instructions and tool. I am only selling them because I sold my car before I could fit them. If I remember right these cost me £38, so these are going for a bargain price. Collection from Ferndown, Dorset preferred but I can post.

£20 cash if collected or £25 paypal gift payment if posted

  2. So I am selling my Dads car for him to relieve him of the hassle. It is a 2012 Skoda Superb estate 2.0 TSI petrol DSG auto in Amethyst Purple. He has owned it from new and it's done 59k miles. It has a full service history and has only just been M.O.T'd. It had a major longlife service last year with new air filter and spark plugs fitted. At the same time it had its DSG service, an air-con service and brake fluid change. As well as this it had a full set of new brake discs and pads fitted. It has also recently had a new battery and two new tyres. A lot of money has been spent on all this, which means it is fully up together and should need nothing doing to it for a while.
It is the high spec elegance model with features such as:
Columbus Sat-nav system, electric and heated leather seats, electric mirrors, electric windows, multi-function steering wheel, dual zone climate control, xenon lights, auto lights, auto wipers, cruise control, reversing sensors, bluetooth, umbrella fitted in the rear door, 18" alloys, exterior chrome trim, quad exhaust pipes. It also had some optional extras fitted like,
a panoramic sunroof, wood interior trim, full size alloy spare wheel and metallic paint. Everything is still working and in good order.
This is actually a very rare model with its combination of estate, DSG and 2.0 TSI engine. Not many were made to this spec, so they are hard to come by!

The interior is in good clean condition. The drivers side right seat bolster has the usual bit of wear, but nothing major. The back seats have only been used once or twice. The paintwork is pretty decent for its age. It has obviously had some stone chips and other minor marks that have had a touch up. There are some other light scratches and marks here and there but nothing major. The majority should be able to be polished out. I am hoping to get a detailer to machine polish it A.S.A.P which will make it look great again. If somebody should wish to buy it before then, the asking price could be negotiated down to enable the buyer to get it done themselves.
My dad was in his late sixties and early seventies while driving this, so you can be assured he hasn't thrashed it as he's no boy racer! This doesn't mean it's just been pootling around to the shops though. The majority of its mileage has been good long drives including European road trips.
It comes with its original owners manual and service book as well as both sets of keys.
It is a lovely spacious and luxurious car that drives nicely and is just looking for a good home!
Please note that if you wish to test drive it you will need to bring proof of your insurance to show you can drive other cars. Also, cash is preferred and you must be willing to come to the bank with me to pay it in before taking the car. Car is located in Ferndown, Dorset.

The mileage is a bit too high for us, our twindoor is just approaching 25K miles. It should sell though, especially if it has a 3-spoke wheel mit paddles!

No worries. Yeah hopefully sell ok. Has multifunction wheel, but not paddles.

Now that I've seen the paperwork it shows that it also has new battery and had very comprehensive last service with spark plugs, air filter and air-con service as well as all the other stuff I mentioned.

I just need to get a chance to get it all cleaned up and sale ready!

Well it's Saturday & I can't see it in the listings yet...............

Perhaps you could post back on here with more info, including the price?

    Keen, I like it!

Yeah sorry, I need the time to get it sorted. My dad will be dropping the car round to me later day. After that I will have all the paperwork etc. with the full info I need to create a proper ad.

Basics are: Amythyst purple 2.0 TSI elegance DSG estate 59k, one owner from new. Recently had new brakes and pads all round, DSG service, brake fluid, two new tyres. Full size alloy spare, panoramic sunroof, electric heated leather seats. Well looked after, good condition. Will be m.o.td next week. Looking for £8800

  5. I had the same problem. I bought a couple of different cheapo dongles and they didnt work with Carista. So I bought the official Carista dongle and did all the customisations I wanted and then sold it again. Funny thing was that some nutter bought it from me second hand on Ebay for more than the price of a brand new one on Amazon. Result!

It should sell, but the buyer will be someone who likely is looking for that specific engine (Getting freedom Briskoda membership is a requirement before advertising things for sale, and that's what I'd do as it'll be seen by a lot of people who know what they're looking at).

I suspect it will be difficult to sell privately to the average car buyer due to a combination of badge snobbery meaning people won't look at Skodas at all and the fuel consumption figures being worse than the 1.4 TSI/diesels. Any city that's making noise about banning diesels should see an increase in interest in petrol cars too, so maybe target them. Unless I really knew the car history I wouldn't buy a car at that sort of price point without a dealer warranty though, so investigate the trade-in options if the car is being replaced and see whether that's worthwhile - factor in your time to sell it privately too - the difference may not be worth losing your evenings and weekends to weeks of tyre kickers/test pilots coming to have a go in it.

Thanks, yes, these are the kind of things I've been thinking about. The trade in price from the dealer is pretty poor, so I'm thinking it might be worth a try privately first to see if I can get lucky with it. If worst comes to worst, then webuyanycar.com are offering a better price than the dealer. Was just hoping that its rarity might count in its favour.

Anyway, when the time comes I might advertise it on here then. I also have my own Fabia to try and sell at the moment as well! Thanks for the advice.

  7. So I will be helping my dad to sell his Superb in a few months and I was just wondering whether his model will be well sought after? It is a 2012 petrol 2.0 TSI DSG estate in elegance trim with cream leather and 55k miles. I believe this 2.0 TSI model with the four exhausts is a bit of a rarity, so will this help in making it more valuable and easier to sell or will it do the opposite? Dont know what you call the colour but its a nice metallic kind of pinky beige. Hes owned it from new, its in good condition and needs nothing doing, as it was recently serviced and had a new set of brakes, DSG service  and brake fluid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  8. I couldnt be 100% sure, but I think they are a standard size. I had a random one from somewhere cheap that fitted fine into the slot of my Fabia. Its silly that Skoda  give you a nice slot for one, but are too mean to actually provide one with the car though!

  9. Hi all noob question,

Looking at the carista app + device on amazon (have some vouchers to spend :p ) I know windows phone is no good.

Will Kindle Fire HD (which has Bluetooth) be ok to connect?

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carista-Bluetooth-OBD2-Adapter-App/dp/B00YVHGTBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483015025&sr=8-1&keywords=carista

If you can get apps from androids google play store on it then yes you should be able to. You will just need to download the carista app from google play and then you will be sorted.

  10. Another good idea is if you come home in the evening with a nice warm car interior don't leave it like that. Open up the doors for a bit and let all the warm air out before you leave the car for the night. A car full of hot air on a cold night is going get the windows condensating!
