  1. VWFS excess mileage now depends on engine capacity rather than just a flat rate. I snapped up one of the £107.99 a month Golf GTI lease deals in November on the same day the rates changed so having to pay 9p + VAT per mile, whereas on my 18 month old vRS it's the old 6p + VAT.
  2. Hi all, my vRS is due to be handed back in March next year and sadly I have a few bits of damage that exceeds the fair wear and tear guidelines. Does anyone have any experience with how reasonable the prices Skoda will charge upon return of the vehicle, or is it better to get them repaired prior to return of the vehicle? Cheers.
  3. I'm currently on Pirelli P-Zero, which are far better and more durable in my experience than the standard SC2 that mine came with.
  4. Looks like it actually does 0-60 in 6 seconds going frame by frame on the video. As this is the time where the digital speedo actually changes to 60mph. Amazing improvement compared to the stock times, I bet it feels like a completely different car! I'd place money on it doing sub 6 seconds in the right conditions.
  5. Seriously considering a Meteor Grey vRS 230 estate in March when my lease is up. Every time I see one it makes me want one even more!
  6. Not a nice backdrop, but a stunning Chevron B16 I had the pleasure to shoot this week so I had to share it H93A8754 by Alexander Lloyd, on Flickr
  7. I currently have my vRS TDi Estate with DSG, Race Blue paint and 13k miles per year on a 3+23 PCH for £891 Initial Payment and £297 a month. Which I'm rather happy with to be honest. Goes back to Skoda in March so might start looking at vRS 230 prices
  8. A few from yesterday, photos aren't the final versions but they're good enough
  9. I agree, you can tell as soon as you look at the rear of the car and the spoiler that it isn't real as it doesn't blend in at all. It was only a half an hour mess around on my lunch break though so I was rather happy with it!
  10. If this is about the GT-R picture it's a composite image. I took the shot of the GT-R, the background/road is a stock a photo I found online and then the rest is just blending everything together So I suppose the picture was cheating really...
  11. I'd ask for a refund straight away, or if they refuse i'd try and get the money back through whatever payment method you used if possible. I'd suggest having a quick look at Harrison Cameras as I found them to be reasonably priced and I have bought a few second hand lenses from them that come with 1 year warranties and they have been absolutely faultless.
  12. The usefulness bit was in reference to the coasting feature of Eco mode on a DSG. I agree though it is largely useless, even the coasting only really works going downhill!
  13. ECO mode is horrific to use in city driving, only really useful on motorways/dual carriageways and even then the economy difference is tiny if any at all in my experience!
