Sorry to hear of your troubles.
Worth talking to Turbo Dynamics, Turbo Technics and AET Turbos about a direct replacement. Then talk to a good independent about fitting. Your profile doesn't say whereabouts you are, so we can't help on that score.

Just had a quick read, and no one has actually bought the R16 64 yellow springs, as they tended to go for the shorter ones due to having more "strength"!
Seeing as the Red R16 64 are the ones to go for, I might be tempted with a set of each. But first I need to get my boot auto delatching from the keyfob. Anyway near Trafford centre with vagcom or is this a dealer visit?

Has anyone used the struts for a non VRS? I'm assuming the spoiler adds a fair bit more weight to the boot! Making it harder to close!?
I need to replace mine as they are a bit weak! Tempted to get these regardless whether the springs work or not!

When the new key is programmed, all keys are erased and reset from scratch so the old key will be gone.
That is the information I got from SkodaUk. So for peace of mind, it will be a trip to the dealer when collecting the keys so they can do that, there and then.

Spoke to the sales manager, and he has ordered a second key for us. Sorted it out without hardly any fuss!
So does anyone know how to deactivate the missing key? I'm going to ring Skoda anyway to find out if they can do this, and if they can, will get the garage that supplied the car to sort this out for us.

Also just a thought going forward. Are both keys the same? Or one a standard key and the other a remote?

My dad is based in Northampton. Can a main dealer do it or can you do it via vag com?
The car is second hand on but 6 months old. Was bought from main dealer, previous owner was a sales person from the garage.

Hey all, just a quick question. My dad just bought a nearly new Fabia and after the deal was done the sales person gave him one key and said that they only come with one key. Is this true or false. I've never known a car to only come with one key only!
Also if there are two keys, does anyone know if you can and how to deactivate the second key?!

Hi, how much for a 2006 Skoda Octavia 2.0tdi PD. What is the price with OEM and genuine VAG parts? Car has only done 50k miles, also is there anything else worth doing while getting this done?

Definitely worth doing...I got the 18" Zeniths on mine pretty soon after I got the car. On the 18's I did notice a difference when the road surface wasn't great...and you have to be a lot more careful when parking on the kerb but other than that they are great!

I had the same problem...but found a keyboard called Touchpal...give it a try!
I love it. Can't deal with the swype stuff but its has that two..and has the T9 phonepad style keyboard as well.
Also punctuations are real easy compared to other keyboards i've tried...and its free!

Hmmm Bluetooth and the Radio is what I use the most.
When you say at speed...do you mean it becomes unbearable for the listener?
I think I may have to give this a miss, and stick to a basic Parrot kit on the current headunit.

It looks like a replica of the RNS510. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of it on here?!? I've seen some US users comment on it with VW cars and it looks positive. Also if you do have it, is anyone in the Manchester area so I can have a peek?!

I have the saris bones 3 for when i had my fabis but it does catch the spoiler on my 2012 vrs but only slightly plus I'm not comfortable with the metal hooks on top of the glass so if you can try one before you buy I strongly recommend it incase it might catch on the spoiler
Will see if the local halfords have one that I can test. You say that its got metal hooks on the glass?
I've scratched two cars with boot mounted carriers (ok, might be a crap carrier or poorly fitted, but either way..) so I won't use one now - I always put the bikes on the roof.
I've been tempted by this as well, as it will allow me access to the boot at the same time! Any links to where you got yours from?!

I tried the Saris Bones on my vRS hatch and it fit like a glove , nice big chunky rubber feet on it too so no damage to the paint work , and it fits over the boot spoiler no problems & very secure . . .
+1 I've got one and it fits my fl vrs perfectly!
Hey Guys Sorry for bringing up an old thread,
Looking for one of these Bike racks for my Octy. Its a pre facelift 2007 without a spoiler. Looking at the Saris Bones 3. Is this what you have? And any of you guys got pictures of it fitted? As Saris say its not compatible with the Octy hatch.

Yes, I think thats why they replaced it with the 24-70. However it is a cracking lens! The 2.8 allows you to take some brill photos.

You can now get the mirror covers from TPS and dealers pre painted in your vehicles colour for common colours.

My wife has done a good job of sticking it back on using some sticky tape! (just to keep it dry really)
Probably will have to get a replacement casing. So does anyone have a spare preferably in black magic to avoid painting?
