As I've sold my car and now have a company car I've been left over with a lot of car cleaning stuff. Some of it is just rubbish and gone in the bin. Some of it however I am hoping that someone will get some use out of it. Prices are PayPal posted to your door. Here we go
Autoglym HD Wax, got the bits in the box including the red cloth and applicator pads. Been used obviously. £10
Autoglym surface detailing kit. Got the cloths and the clay bar and tin. The bottle of polish is brand new never used and the surface detailer is about half full. £10
Autoglym interior shampoo, tyre dressing and fast glass. They are all more than 3/4 full. £15 the three
G3 paint renovator, scratch remover, applicator pads and some silver t cut. Loads left in all of them £15 the lot together

Thats why I want the swap. More room for family and dog. So you never regretted swappin the fabia? I'm on about the fun factor rather then anything else.
Just saw your other thread. Bad luck there mate, I hope it gets sorted soon. No I never regretted it at all, what surprised me about the Octavia was how well it handled. The Fabia kind of rolled a lot in corners but the Octavia was a lot better really. If I hadn't got a company car I would still have had it.

Had a standard Fabia vRS then had a remapped Octavia vRS diesel. Was a great car, fast fun and made a great family car. Was good at lugging push chairs and all the other things that go with kids. Then when I was on my own was able to mix it up Hartside pass with the rest of them. Only just sold it as I've bought a house.

at the end of the day there is only so much margin in each car, you might get a little more off each one buying two at once but dont expect loads

look after her well! shes done me well over the last year

daft question sorry...
so if you car is worth more in say month 12 of ownership of 3 year pcp deal, wouldn't this be a best time to px in for a new model?
why would one wait till end of 3 years and wait for car to be worth less?
Because you will owe more money to the finance company in month 12 than month 36. So you won't have as much equity to be able to change.

Some people prefer the way diesels drive to be fair. I just sold my mk2 vRS TDi. That had the DPF delete and a stage 1 map on it. Was a genuinely fast car and I can compare it to a Leon FR TFSI so same car as the vRS and it was easily as fast and fun to drive.

Hi, thanks for looking. As some of you may know I work at a Toyota garage and we are now getting some company cars. As we are my Octavia is going to be going up for sale. Now the car will be going to the trade by the end of the month but I'm going to give Briskoda members chance for a few weeks.
Firstly the car, its a 2007 Race Blue vRS Hatchback. Its the 2.0 TDi version. I bought the car around a year ago and its been an amazing car. The previous owner had the DPF Delete done and I think a stage 1 Map. I've got no proof of this map except that it pulls very well and has got more there than standard 170 engined cars I have driven. The car has had the ECU Mapped correctly so there are no warning lights on the dash and there will be no expensive DPF failure too worry about in the future. It also has the Columbus Nav fitted and a Nokia Bluetooth car kit fitted. It works great together and you can stream music via bluetooth car kit off your phone.
It has the 18" Alloys, half leather seats, Jumbo Box with AUX input, 6CD AutoChanger, Dual Climate and rear electric windows.
I have just had the car MOT'd last month, had 2 rear tyres fitted and 2 front ones done in March this year. It is due a service now. It has a full service history, the timing belt and pump was done as well. The last service was the Toyota garage where I work.
Its currently on 58,000 miles but will rise slowly by the end of the month.
Now the car is 6 and a bit years old, its in excellent condition but its not perfect. The DMF is starting to ever so slightly rumble. I was going to get this done but with selling it now I'm going to leave it. There are a couple of little dents in some panels and some of the Alloys need refurbed, but this is too be expected and the drivers door card has got a mark on it where my elbow has been. This is a common Octavia fault.
As for the price, well I've looked on Auto Trader and Skoda's UK Web site and there is not many around, I've taken into account the few things that need done too it, but also the additional spec of the car. I am looking for £6,995 for the car.
The private plate will be coming off soon.
Im based in Carlisle in Cumbria. You are more than welcome to come and view the car, I'll put up some more pictures soon. If you wish to drive the car then please bring proof of Insurance, no test pilots please. If your not insured fully comp then I will drive the car for you. If I've missed anything then someone please point it out or PM me!!
Thanks for looking!
Fabia vrs reliability at 180k
in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Posted
Hi guys. It's been a while since I've been on here. I used to have a fabia vrs a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I've had a company car for a while now but it's time for a second car in the family. It's only going to get occasional use, 5k or so miles a year. I know I shouldn't be getting a diesel for economy like that but I just fancy a vrs again. I've seen one locally on an 04 plate with 180k on it. As I've been out of here a whole now, I would like some reliability opinions from owners who are up at that mileage now. What are they like to run and what should I be looking out for. Thanks guys.
