  1. Finally got round to purchasing one Wardy Does anybody have a paint code that matches the Octy interior grey?
  2. I'd be up for a meet but most meets seem to bit on Sundays and I'm in work until around 13:00
  3. Certainly was, I missed the thread first time round.
  4. Apparently so, Came in the Superb mk1 so I am led to believe.
  5. Is this the VW version with red illuminated switches or Skoda green?
  6. No problem mate, Just sent you a text message. I'll grab it Sunday after work then arrange getting it to you.
  7. I'm in Manchester but work in Warrington. I'm not in work until Sunday now though. I can pick your things up Sunday Afternoon if that's of any use. Drop me a PM if you need me to help mate.
  8. Perhaps I'm biased as I drive a heavy goods but I don't think the LGV driver intentionally hit the other car. From the video it seemed like the car driver sped up to hold the wagon in lane 3, Having said that he should never have been in that lane to start with. It is hard to judge if you've fully passed a vehicle you're overtaking especially at night, Much of it is judgement and perhaps a flash from the vehicle you're overtaking. The truck driver has either thought it was clear to pull back in or he was trying to spook the car driver into slowing down so he could pull back in. For those that think the wagon driver should have just stuck behind the car should try sitting behind a tool doing those speeds in lane 2 and not be able to pass them. Sometimes you just have a bad day and you get a rush of blood to the head. Having said that I am paid by the hour so slow move down as much as you please I've never used the outside lane but I have spooked a few car drivers who think it's ok to stick me in lane 2 and leave me there. This is generally after I have been courtious enough to move out into lane 2 so they can join the motorway, Generally now I won't move over for cars. Reason being if they don't have the sense to adjust their speed to either safely get in front or behind me then they probably won't let me back into lane 1. I've hit a few things in a LGV and they cause a lot more damage than on his car, That's a slight graze which was avoidable by both parties. Personally I'd ban both drivers for 1 year.
  9. Primarily it is just to lose the gap between tyre and arch. I do love a spirited drive on twisted roads but wouldn't track the Octy, I have a Turbo Cavalier for tracking. Thanks for the advise chaps, Obviously it's not worth the extra money for damping adjustment. I don't mind the ride firming up a bit but don't want it to be back breaking....I'm not 20 anymore
  10. I did narrow it down to Bilstein or KW, Having googled around H&R also seem to get good reviews. I just can't decide if I should stick with just height adjustment or pay a big chunk more and go for rebound and compression adjustment. I really don't want a really stiff ride. Have you found anywhere reasonably priced yet?
  11. I'm looking at fitting ARB's and Coilovers to my PreFL VRS. I've been looking at Bilstein either B14 or B16, Has anybody any experience with these? What are my options for ARB upgrades and any suggestions for the cheapest supplier of both coilovers and ARBs? If anyone has pics of VRS dropped between 30-50mm it would be appreciated.
  12. That's fine by me bud. Drop us a PM when you're ready.
  13. I'll take 2 boxes if still available mate.
  14. I'm after a set of roof bars for my estate. I want genuine Skoda but don't fancy the price for something that will get little use. Has anybody used the universal type seen on ebay and do they mark the bars that they mount to? I will be removing them when not in use and don't fancy nasty marks where the clamps have been.
  15. Has anybody noticed the alarm on their Octavia goes off in one particular place? Mine goes off sometimes whilst in works car park. Never at home or anywhere else. The car park is next to the yard where the wagons are kept, Maybe the vibrations set it off but I doubt it.
  16. Not too sure tbh. I un-paired his phone from the HU. Just waiting for him to get time to pop round so we can pair it again. I'll check if there's any ringing sound.
  17. Service done yesterday along with S3 jacking pads fitted. Who needs coliovers Grab a couple of night pics of the new lights. Was unsure before buying but do like the look of them.
  18. Not yet mate, I'm just looking for the part number for the Superb version but can't seem to find it. Wanted to find out how much they are at TPS, Was going to order some handles leds and footwell lights at same time. In the mood for modding atm
  19. My cousin is having issues with the bluetooth in his 60 plate VW Tiguan, I'm assuming it is the equivalent to the Bolero or Columbus. It's touch screen obviously with bluetooth but no satnav. He can get his Iphone 5 to connect. When making a call it is displayed on the HU, Even the his phonebook is displayed. For some reason there's no sound either end of the phonecall. The person on the other end of the call can't hear my cousin and he can't hear them. I've looked through the settings and can only find the option to switch the mic on or off, Neither helps the issue though. Any ideas?
  20. Yea should be fine that bud. I'll be home from work for about 13:00-14:00. Drop us a PM with your number and I'll reply with my number and address.
  21. Totally agree. I think the Octy has a little too much chrome on the front end. Think it has a more aggressive look with darker lights
  22. I wouldn't charge mate. I can probably do Saturday about 16:00 onwards if that's any good to you
  23. I've had both green and red night lights in my wagons before, Definitely prefer the red. I found green to be more in your face really.
  24. Never tried it before mate. I'll record what you're original code is so it can be reverted back to if there's any issue. Here's a guide to activating bluetooth. http://www.my-gti.com/429/volkswagen-skoda-bluetooth-programming
