  1. A bit of bump here. I'd like ask a moderator to change the name of the thread to "change the ignition on and off behavior with Kessy" , thanks The question now is - how to code the ignition to turn off when i lock the car instad to turn off when i open the driver's door?
  2. Airbag wiring is really simple - you have only two wires there and is nothing difficult (not sure, but i think even the connectors are the same. If you seats are electric without memory then you have to supply just 12V to i think red/black and brown wires - they were thicker that the rest on the connector. If the seats have memory than the motors work differently and you need somebody who knows what he is doing. For me the mechanical fitting is more difficult because if the rails have different dimensions and fixing points than you may not be able to mount them.... You are also right that the seats of normal octavia and L&K differ only by the covers. Both of them provide mildly said terrible experience and comfort. Even the sport or RS seats are quite shallow, wide and still uncomfortable. On top of this they are ugly too If you are looking for audi seat look for S line, the others are not comfy too. The S-line are great. Also bear in mind that there are also seats which are the same as s-line, but they are not branded on the leather with the logo and they are still very good. Last but not least - the "deep" s-line seats are also available in cloth, not only leather.
  3. I am following the thread because the seats of the octavia are really bad. As a start - measure the rails - length between the two bolts of each rail an the width between the rails.
  4. No, it will not update. Its weird that it gives you this error because usually 32 GB is enough...
  5. So, i took the newer octavia the last couple of days to see what is the behavior. It appears that the switching off of the media is connected to the ignition. The older one is switching off the ignition immediately when i open the drivers door, whereas the newer one is (usually) switching off the ignition when i lock the door (both have keyless). Do you still need the map from the multimedia or shall i get the map from some other module - (maybe the comfort module)?
  6. I want to do it cause i want to listen to the music a bit more when exiting the car. Also there are some times in which i am staying in the car with the door open and is bothering to have to turn on manually on and off. BTW. if the brake pedal is pressed and i open the door the media stays plays until i depress it...
  7. Thanks langers2k, The one car is here with me, from the other will have it on Sunday or beginning of next week and will scan it.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions, i know how to do the autoscan, this is easy. However i don't know how to create adpmaps. I checked on ross-tech website and found this article: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Control_Module_Maps Do i have to do #1 or #2 from the description there?
  9. ok guys, i got that your media goes off when you "remove the key" or "ignition is switched off". The question here is can i change this to "when i lock the car" which is valid for a car manufactured 04.2019.....
  10. HI guys, I want to make the multimedia to turn off when i lock the car, not when i open the door. ON the current configuration (O3FL 01.20717, Columbus, kessy) when the car switches off and i open the drivers door the music playing from the radio stops. On our other octavia ()3 FL, 04.2019, Amundsen, kessy) the radio stops playing when we exit the car and lock it. Is there a way to code this function or something similar through vcds?
  11. Once you enter the car you press the button with the keyfob and it should work, i remember that it was described for emergency situations in the manual.
  12. Wow! This is a very unpleasant surprise... both SashaGrace and fabdavrav have given good suggestions. I would add few more options: 320 mm audi floating - bigger diameter of disk and 57 mm piston 345 mm floating from Audi - bigger diameter of disk and 60 mm piston 340-345 mm 4 pot brembos with custom adapters 320 OR 345 mm 4 pot brembos from Audi 6 piston fixed calipers from S4 B9 with 360 mm discs 2 piston floating calipers with 360 mm discs..... The pros of the 4+ piston calipers compared to the floating ones is the highly reduced weight and better pedal feel and response. The main disadvantage is that if you have stock wheels you will need spacers or you have to change to aftermarket wheels. Good luck with modding
  13. What engine do you have? vRS fronts from Octavia III are 340 mm, not 312. You can make the difference quite easy - the 340 mm are painted from the factory.
  14. SashaGrace has put it great. 2.0 TDI 150 and 184 hp can take no less than 16" the smaller engines can also go with 15" because their brakes are different
  15. Still available, can't believe these are not gone considering that they are at the price of discs and pads....
