  1. I'm a caravaner and when looking for a used Karoq I couldn't find one with a towbar fitted. I bought a 2019 2.0tdi SEL and it didn't have towbar prep. I had a Tow Trust detachable swan neck towbar fitted by a mobile fitter who came to my home to do it. As the car didn't have the prep it seemed to take him hours to complete. All is good and it works as it should. I would certainly recommend Tow Trust.
  2. I see from your OP that you said "also the drivers multi switch has a mind of its own, works then not" and that you had it replaced. Did that solve the switch problem? I have a 2019 Karoq with the same problem. I'll open any window via the drivers multi switch and very intermittently I can't close anything. If I reach across to the passenger switch I can then close the passenger window. Sometime the easiest way to close all windows is via the key fob when locking the car. That always works. I suspect it is the drivers door multi switch but it is so intermittent that it hasn't bothered me too much. I'll look into a new one if it solves the problem, but of course way out of warranty.
  3. I did exactly the same with the wifes bank card. 😲 It was retrieved fairly easily by taking one side of the centre console off. The passenger side is easier as you dont have the footrest in the way. If I remember correctly there is one torxs screw towards the front then it's held on with clips. As I remember I think it just slides one way to clear the clips. Sorry can't remember which way. The card was just lodged behind the phonebox. Good luck!!
  4. I have a 2019 Karoq SEL that also doesn't have auto dipping. It was on my last 2015 Octavia SEL and I quite liked it. It all depends on the camera you have stuck to the windscreen (by the rear view mirror). If it's the wrong camera, as mine is, then you can't just enable auto dipping. I believe you would need a new windscreen and correct camera.
  5. I bought a 2019 2.0tdi SEL last year and had a detachable Tow-Trust towbar fitted by a local mobile company. I had it coded to the Karoq and all works well. I tow a caravan. With caravan connected and in reverse, the display shows a symbol of car with a caravan. The rear parking sensors are disabled but the camera still works. (the reversing camera is ideal for hitching up) I recently tried reversing a trailer for someone and didn't connect the electrics as I was only going across a yard. I got about half a meter and the brakes slammed on as it thought I was goint to hit something. I connected the electrics and all worked as it should. I know that when the towbar is coded to the vehicle it changes a lot with something connected but I'm not too sure what!
  6. Thanks @pab567 all updated successfully.
  7. I did not lie either. I had already paid a deposit and it is the car I now own.
  8. Before I bought my 2019 Karoq 4x4 2.0tdi SEL, I called Skoda customer services to ask for the spec, optional extras fitted and service history. The only question asked were whether I owned the vehicle or had paid a deposit on it. 😉 I then got all the info I needed.
  9. I have a 2019 Karoq with version shown in the photo. Recently I have experienced a couple of problems. With iPhone connected and Carplay running the unit just switched itself off. Blank screen & no audio. Ok after switching back on. Secondly pulled up at home, turned engine off (Kessy) and opened door. Screen went off but radio continued to play. Had to reset unit to get it to turn off. Is there newer software, and would it fix my problems? Appreciate any help.
  10. I had a Hex-can cable that worked well with my 2015 Octavia and it was unlimited vin. When I swapped to my 2019 Karoq the Hex-can would't do much so I sold it on Ebay for something like £285. Bought a Hex-V2 and all works again with the Karoq. (Hex-V2 is 3 vin limited but ok for me) Might be worth looking at used but the unlimited vin cables certainly command a premium.
  11. I've used this place twice recently. https://ajkvehicleservices.com/ He's in Kettering Northants town centre. Knows his stuff and competative too.
  12. No luck at all. Didn’t work in any way. At least with the Octavia the mirror moved, it sort of worked.
  13. I’m in the UK and have an SE-L which is the same spec as my old Octavia. I don’t have memory seats. Quite a lot in the Octavia section regarding this. Seems some work and others don’t. I seem to remember that you need a mirror motor with seven wires instead of the lesser five wire motor. And certainly with some Octavias you might need a new door controller as well. I suppose I could just try it on my Karoq. What’s the chances of being lucky.
  14. Hi Peekay, I recenly swapped my MY16 Octavia for a MY19 Karoq. I enabled this on the Octavia and it was very hit and miss. You say that you replaced your mirror so it would work. Could you give more details on the mirror you fitted. Do you have a link? What is the difference between old a nd new? Thanks
  15. Just to round this thread off, today I put a deposit on a Skoda Karoq 2.0 SE L TDI scr dsg 4x4. It's a 2019 (19) with ACC, Virtual Cockpit and a steel spare wheel as options. One owner with 13k on the clock in grey (although it's metallic and looks more like silver to me!). I think I got a fair price for my Octavia in px. Well chuffed. Just need to get a towbar organised if any one has any recommendations. Can’t wait to pick it up.
