  1. Car was handed back to Skoda early July. The ST XA coilovers are still available for anyone with a mk4 VRS who is looking to lower their vehicle and maintain a brilliant ride plus adjustable damping. PM for details of interested. Cheers
  2. Mine still crashed even with 1941 and new hardware installed. Absolute bag of s…e the mk4 is. I started getting headlamp lighting errors as well with the later software. This has been the worst car I’ve ever bought, so much so I rejected the car over the past month with Skoda buying it back off me last week, clearing my finance and full a refund of my previous PX cars cash value deposit. Only 5 months old. Glad we still have a mk3.5 VRS on the drive as it’s a superior platform entirely.
  3. Yep mine did this before I asked the dealer to turn the fake sound speaker off and it stopped this rattle when under acceleration.
  4. Just collected from dealer. RF module replaced and new 1941 software on it. Hope this works as i’m on the cusp of submitting a rejection letter to the dealer to hand the car back… No crashes on the way home…
  5. Changing the badge has no impact on the front assist. The badge is on the bonnet. The radar is behind the grill.
  6. Superskoda (Kopacek) do a really good emblem, but they’re expensive. Colour match has always been spot on though. https://www.kopacek.com/kamiq/emblems/kamiq-original-skoda-emblem-i-n-t-version-100mm-version-colour-f5w-race-blue
  7. hold the menu button down for a few seconds 👍
  8. Here’s mine but not on 1900… Car is 2022/23 delivered jan23.
  9. yeh that’s as close as I’ve got mine as well, just think the finished product looks like a bit of an afterthought
  10. Does anyone know if the mk4 Octavia radio can look more like the fabias icon layout (below image) which is pretty much the same as the previous mk3 Octavia and mk7 golf’s generation of infotainment? Only asking as to be honest I think the Octavias radio station setup looks rubbish in comparison; unfinished / untidy.
  11. Can I ask how much hassle was it rejecting the car back to dealer? I’m currently looking at options to reject mine back to them due to issues but worried it’s going to be an utter mare to sort out. All the best with the new motor! Adios!
  12. Got mine in January 2023. It had some daft errors on the dash like stop start, acc and lane assist not working. But the radio unit rarely crashed. It then went to Skoda for various work and since then it’s been crashing every day, every drive. Its software version is 1896 (I think) this was installed when the car pinged a notification for update availability last Thursday, which has only increased the frequency of software crashes.
  13. All down to the paint prep and polish prior to the coating being applied to bring the paint to its best appearance then the coating seals all that goodness in, expect a really nice and deep gloss finish and then exceptional beading characteristics.
  14. Yes ceramic coating is 100% worth it for ease of cleaning the car. Dirt, bugs spatter all comes off much easier. Check with your detailer on the best product for your driving circumstances (mileage etc.) as not all coatings are equal; some last for 2 years other can be longer. Mines got GTechniq (not sure which one though; it’s warranted for 5years). It looks amazing after every wash. For protection against chips though PPF is needed. I’ve had some 🤬 try rub a coin into my bonnet and the PPF was swirled up and damaged, applied hot water and it healed up nicely and the paint underneath is fine. So again highly recommend it.
  15. Mine since it went to Skoda for fixes and updates has been crashing even more lately especially with the weather getting better and the interior being warmer - the screen and back of the unit gets incredibly hot, which I think is probably one of the main causes for it crashing. There’s no venting on the back which would help airflow over the electronics 🤦‍♂️. Another thing to add to the list of fixes they need to do.
