  1. My garmin pid battery is virtually dead and will not hold a charge. Has anyone got a link to sourcing a new battery and its installation ?
  2. I wish to use my pid as a sat nav in my campervan but of course the dedicated pid holder is useless on it. Does anybody know of an "attach to the windscreen" holder that would fit the pid when using power from the lighter socket ?
  3. I had made up my mind to keep it. My general question was about why I was in a minority and most people trade them in .
  4. I have now had my 60 PS green tech for almost three years and love it. When I took on the PCP with zero finance cheap servicing etc I intended keeping at the end of the finance deal. It appears I must be one of the few who take this path as most seem to exchange or hand back. My local dealer keep pestering me to think about a new one. I wonder how many others keep the car and why they do. My reasons for keeping are Zero road tax - if I get a new car it is £140 a year. I know who has driven it ( 13.5 k on the clock) I don't have to buy a satnav as my pid works perfectly. I don't fancy another debt especially as the finance is no longer free. Yes I know it will incur bills like servicing tyres etc,but still a lot less than new car depreciation.
  5. I noticed an increase in fuel consumption over the last few weeks. My pid was showing average 59 mpg instead of usual 65. Checked tyres. They were down to 28 front and 26 back. Pumped them back up to pressure for unloaded ( sticker on driver side door arch) of 32 front and 28 rear and instantly fuel consumption back to normal.
  6. My pid has just stopped giving me voice directions and speed warnings. The music from the pid is still fine so there is a sound link. In the past I found a menu to control voice volume but it seems to have vanished. Any advice on how to get sound navigation back ?
  7. You would be very lucky to average 70 mpg. I have a green tech and it's average over 30 months has been 61 mpg .can get 70 mpg on a run but a steady 65 mph on the motorway gets you 65 mpg
  8. My pid never connects to my huewei so I suppose it is a case of suck it and see. As the pid is being discontinued, as they die will older citigo become pid less or does anyone know if the new cradle will fit in the old citigo socket ?
  9. One of has windows 8 another windows 7. Both show on the pid as it being charged but not connecting to the PC in mtp mode. I need to find a way to make the pid realise it is not on charge but a removable drive. Android drivers are installed on PC but give error code 10 as the pid is not switched to a data mode . On my Kindle I can select either mtp or charging mode but cannot find any way in the pid menu to change this
  10. I am trying to connect my pid to my pc to use garmin fresh. I cannot get the pc to detect the pid even though the pid shows it is connected to a usb port. This happens on both pc,s I have. Any advice on how to make the pid detectable by a pc ? ( using windows)
  11. After replying to a Skoda customer satisfaction phone call I have been sent a £30 voucher to use against the purchase of accessories. Has anyone any suggestions of citigo accessories around that price area that are available from Skoda dealers?
  12. Interesting how service offers change. When I bought mine two years ago it came with three years servicing for £99. A bargain!
  13. I have just got a pid from eBay. It works brilliantly. Unlike sat navs I have used in the past this one has a male voice. Is it possible to change the voice? Mike
