  1. I believe that may be for the high-line OEM camera as it has a canbus module (separate box) that needs to be coded for your car.
  2. I'm looking at this one on Aliexpress that has the dynamic lines and shows that it connects to canbus. I sent a message to ask where it connected to canbus and was sent back a picture of the head unit highlighting the connector block diagram on top. Any thoughts on it before I pull the trigger? https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/8F3xooJ4B Thanks
  3. Just got my VRS Challenge on Tuesday. Just hardwiring my dash cam in, attempting to re-attach the damper arm for the glove box, thought a bit more light would help with this. So went to the boot to get the detachable torch/boot light - not there, not as in it wasn't in the slot - there was no slot! It's no longer there, is this standard for all MY20 VRS's? Simply not clever Skoda! (Estate model)
  4. For the insurance being lower, I would think that's because the Challenge has front sensors with front assist. Insurance companies like automated braking, I use LV and it specifically asks if your car has this during the quote.
  5. From UK brochure Note - when it says parking sensors it means it adds front sensors (vrs has rear sensors as standard). Mine's coming later this year, as you say I'm not really that keen on Kessy but I think there's a mod to stop Kessy unlock - so have to use fob to unlock but rest of Kessy functionality is intact (locking and start/stop)

  7. https://www.motor1.com/news/350036/skoda-octavia-wagon-spy-photos/ No more twin headlights! And mildly off-topic how/when do we find out if there's any updates for current MY20 Octavia's? I've got a VRS Challenge coming (requested October delivery) so wondering if they'll be changing anything?
  8. I believe so (I'm hoping to do the same later this year) I looked on DTE's website and the part numbers are the same (actually the same for all mk3 Octavia's)
  9. Yes... It's not a true camera alert, it's a point of interest notification (think petrol stations) so doesn't work like in TomTom/Google maps
  10. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-original-Skoda-kit-for-spare-wheel-change I think it's this one (different for RS though)
  11. ID3 tags are your friend https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/m.wikihow.com/Edit-ID3-Tags%3Famp%3D1
  12. I got a hair dryer on it for about 20 mins. Did the trick and lies flat
  13. Double press disables deadlocks, single press for deadlocking (opposite of Ford)
  14. Definitely mate. Can take pics tomorrow if required. I've still got the FL rears (need to sell them!) The FL part number for rears has got A at the end, you need part number 5E0 075 101 with no A at the end, these will fit
