Hi everybod, Can anyone give me some advice.....I've noticed that appx 5 seconds after I switch the engine off on my 03 Octavia (1.9 TDi Ambiente) there is a soft thud from the engine area (as if a damper flap had closed). I rang my local Skoda dealer and they couldn't immediately think of anything. Any ideas? No other problems with car apart from this. Thanks

Hi - I've just bought a 2003 Octavia Ambiente with a 1.9TDI 90 bhp engine. Great fuel consumption, but I'd like a bit more urge. I've read that there's a inline electrical 'chip' that can take the power up to 110 bhp. Is this true/are there any disadvantages or probs with this/is it easy to fit/where can I get one/how much? Thanks

Dealer told me he's glued pipe back on to barbed connector in the past with some success. I'm not sure that a pipe clamp will work as pipe is relatively hard and may distort and leak rather than conform to connector. Any successes out there?

Hi - we've just bought our first Skoda (Octavia 1.9 tdi Ambiente) secondhand. V.pleased so far. Smart car, tight ride. One niggle I knew might be a problem - rear screen washer pipe disconnects under pressure. Any proven means of stopping this? Thanks - J
