  1. Thanks, some good points. Didn't think the airbags were in he seats but knew I'd have to let the insurance company know. Didn't think about the warranty so will have to keep that in mind. This might be a bit too much hassle and may be a non runner from the start because in Ireland the insurance companies don't just raise your insurance, they tell you if you're covered or not. Will give the seats a month or two more to see if I can get used to them Thanks for the help.
  2. Hi guys, I have a 2014 vrs and i'm going to be swapping out the seats. Really don't like the current vrs ones. I'm a noob at this seats thing so just have a quick few questions. Do the s3 seats just sit on the existing vrs rails and job done? I have my eye on a second hand set of recaro's but they come without rails. Do i have to get certain rails or a subframe and any idea where i could get this? Just trying to do my homework before i go either way. Thanks for the help, Alan.
  3. Recently got the petrol and do around the same mileage. Getting high 20's around town and then high 30's on a spin. The small tank freaked me out at the start, was filling it up a lot. Coming from a 520d which had a load of issues like blocked dpf's and cat's with that mileage
  4. Yeah look good wiily. Going to play around with the seat a bit more but would be interested in something like these if it doesn't work out.
  5. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll try playing around with it a bit more.
  6. Yeah toni, would be loving them in my car right about now as well
  7. These are the seats here. A mix of leather and cloth. From doing a bit of research on the internet, a good few people seem to have problems with them. Most of them change them for S3 seats or recaro's. Gonna take a break from the car and then try it again in a while to see if the pain comes back and if it does I'll have to look at changing the seats or getting rid of the car.

  10. No not really because I've put the seat a good bit back trying to straighten out my leg so that it will sit flush on the seat. I've tried making it higher but the effect is worse
  11. Thanks, yeah I've lowered it as much as possible but still causing problems
  12. Hi guys, I got a 2014 VRS a couple of weeks ago and the seats are killing my right hamstring. I can't tilt the front of the seat up at the front to support under my leg so my right hamstring is tight all the time. I have the seat pushed back as far as I can to try and get my right leg flat on the seat but it's still unsupported. The seat also seems a bit short and would love to be able to extend it like the bmw's and audi's. Anyone else ever experience this? I'm 6'2'' so not that tall. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. This is ruining the car for me and making me want to get rid of it. Thanks for the help, Alan.
  13. Here's some quick pics of my TSI that I picked up last week. Loving it so far. Coming from a 520d M Sport so glad to be back to petrol. Had a load of hassle with blocked dpf's, egr's and cat's. Will give it a nice wax at the weekend

  17. That's fine Gizmo, I just don't need the smart ass answers. If alis is the typical forum member, I won't be spending much time on here.
