  1. Ignore me...there are recommendations if I put in OBD and omit the C! Rank amateur here...
  2. I have exactly the same issue on my 2016 1.2 I was thinking of an OBDC plug in...can anyone suggest something half decent please? More than £12 but less than £80! Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks Expatman. Yes I've considered the LBX and the Yaris Cross. At the moment I couldn't afford the LBX as they are still relatively new. I do actually think the Yaris Cross is almost a spiritual successor to the Yeti but am not convinced by the cabin when compared to a Lexus! I do have a mk3 Superb SEL which is quite nicely appointed so I guess I could 'rough' it in something less luxurious for local journeys!
  4. I have a similar predicament, I have an immaculate 1.2 SEL DSG 2016 Yeti which I bought in 2018 and am/was thinking of swapping for a Lexus NX 300h but the cost to change means I'm looking at paying an extra £7-9k for a similar aged car with higher mileage! My Yeti has 43000 miles and really looks like new. I'm torn! I had the Yeti serviced yesterday and an O2 sensor replaced in preparation to sell. I want to go Lexus or Toyota for their reliability record...being a youthful 67 y.o. but no longer wanting to clamber under a car to do anything remedial! Driving it back from the garage I realised how much I liked the Yeti from the driving position, visibility and ease of use. I guess the Lexus has a much upmarket interior and the full hybrid does appeal. I also like the Toyota chr apart from the back seats, which I guess I wouldn't much sit in! What do people think? I'm leaning towards keeping, but could be swayed!
  5. Hi this is a long time later(!) but I did manage to fix the system, followed the YouTube video, bought screen from ali express and some tools from Ebay and amazon. All in all, the fix cost around £25! Works perfectly. There's a certain satisfaction in doing it yourself plus a huge financial saving. If you're facing this issue and don't mind taking a few bolts out, removing the 'lid' of your system and disconnecting a ribbon connector, then just do it!
  6. Thank you for all your replies, I'll keep the forum posted. Cheers
  7. Hi, I know this isn't a new issue, and I have looked around the forum for specific answers, but the Infotainment head unit in our 2016 Yeti has gone off the rails! It flashes around all functions and will randomly dial telephone numbers as well as switching radio channels etc. The touch screen seems dead and the menu selection buttons do nothing. Safest thing is to turn it off! Talking to the local Skoda dealership, it looks like they want to sell me a new unit, which would be fine except that they'd like to charge me £1450 for the privilege. I think this is 'slightly' too much, so I am asking the forum two things Could this fault be repaired at a reasonable cost? Is there anyone in the West Midlands who you could recommend? If not, are there any after market solutions which people have fitted and which do the job? I'd like to retain functionality of steering wheel operation and the parking guidance malarkey. I know you are going to ask me what model, I really don't know!! I will attach a photograph... Thanking you in anticipation
