Best Windscreen Wipers for Fabia
Thank you for the mention of the instructions in the manual. I read those. The Bosch wipers seem genuine and my car is listed on the box. I put my reg in on the Bosch spare parts site for the correct size and ordered them from Amazon. Not my finest moment...

Best Windscreen Wipers for Fabia
Hi all Does anyone know the best brands of replacement windscreen wipers please? I have a 1.2 TSi Special Edition 2016 and the front passenger side wiper has split. Skoda here in France charges 25€ + tva + fitting for one. I'm sure I could do it myself for less. The brands I've seen here are: Amio, Ridex, Maxgear, Stark and Hegner I'm not sure which brand is an original Skoda piece but hopefully one of these. Don't want the incessant squeak. Sorry if there's already a topic for this. I searched a lot before posting. Thanks Mme JemJem

Hi nta16 Visited Skoda again to fit summer tyres. While it was on the ramp, I took a look underneath and couldn't see why it couldn't be fitted back into place. The missing piece definitely offered some protection both to the front spring and the tyre. They wouldn't do it though as I was only booked in for tyres. Went to a small local garage today and they fitted it back on in minutes, using a steel washer. No parts, no hassle, no charge. Unfortunately, the customer service in my local dealership is not what it was. Thanks for your help and to everyone who contributed. Jem

Hi and thanks for your message. That's definitely the part. I went to Skoda franchise yesterday and asked them to push it on for me, as I wasn't able to. They said the piece it's supposed to slot into, is also damaged, so they couldn't fit it and told me "not to worry about replacing it, as it's not important because it's plastic! Thanks again

Hi and thanks for all your replies. I've searched the Skoda parts but can't seem to find the exact piece. It does seem to something that's attached to the front grille assembly but I'm not certain. It's plastic and a number on it is M7883 The place where it must have been held together with a bolt are broken but it looks like you can push it on still. I've asked Skoda but they never reply. I've attached some more photos and hope these will appear clearer. Thanks againScan 17 Apr 2025 at 10.03.pdfScan 17 Apr 2025 at 10.03.pdfScan 17 Apr 2025 at 10.04.pdf

Hi to All Could someone help me identify the part attached in the photo. It came off the front right-hand side of the bottom of the car,(just under the lower lamps) It caught on a high kerb. It needs replacing but I don't know what it is, or if it can be fixed? Is it absolutely necessary to replace it? Thank you

90,000km Service Cost
Hi and thanks for replying I'm in France and had been in the UK for the past six months, with the notice coming up on the screen that I needed a service. It wasn't a quote, sorry, my appointment was for yesterday and I had to pay 507€ The invoice was marked 60,000km Service (which I didn't notice until now) and it was a full service, changing everything, Oil, Air, Pollen etc but previously in April 2022, when the mileage was 76558, they carried out exactly the same service, and the invoice is marked 90,000 service (I think that's because of the years passed came before I reached 90,000) That one cost me far less; 343€ do you think they've made a mistake? How many times do you need a full service like this one? Thank you

90,000km Service Cost
Hi all Does anyone know the approximate cost of a 90,000km Service at a Skoda dealership? I'm overseas and have been quoted 507€ which seems an awful lot for the age of the car (2016) What do they do with it for that price? Complete overhaul it seems... Thank you
