  1. Lemto - not a Monte Carlo, no side skirts or rear diffuser, just a lightly modified SE L. 16” wheels and bodyshop cut the rear bumper. Skodaboy1983 - hard to say exactly with coilovers but roughly 40mm.
  2. Supersprint exhaust from Italy. Excellent fit but had to cut rear valance. KW coilovers on bottom setting (rear) and mid setting (front) - dampers and springs far better than stock Fabia. Also has Forge Induction Kit and Forge Blow-off Valve.
  3. Was thinking that, Headinawayoffski, but fitted according to Forge's instructions. So far so good and, at 58 degrees north, we're not too troubled with hot weather!
  4. Exhaust is non-resonated catback with a single tail box, malcster. Lovely warble at idle and quite boomy at lower revs. Seems to peak at 3000-4000 rpm then gets quieter. Loudest around town when backing off for junctions but not intrusive. Not a high rev screamer like the S1.
  5. The noise is certainly there, headinawayoffski, but the stock Fabia has an annoying habit of revving unpredictably when you try to pull away with minimal throttle (anti-stall mechanism?). I think the Induction Kit / Blow-Off Valve combo has helped with this but I may just be imagining it! All sounds great though!
  6. Thanks, Damo. Coilovers are mid-drop at the front and full-drop at the rear. The fronts are obviously struts with built-in shock absorbers. The rears came with separate shock absorbers. The ride is 100 times better with the new set-up. In stock form, the car wallowed about like a boat on our poorly maintained country roads but now it's hard, maybe too hard for some. My other car's an Audi S1 so I love it. BTW mods were all done and paid for by our 18 year old son so all credit to him for his choices (although advised by Dad!). And it's hard to find an exhaust for the NJ3 - this Supersprint exhaust came from Italy and was eye wateringly expensive!
  7. Finally got our 1.2 TSi SE L Black Edition looking the way we want it. Why can't it come out of the factory like this? Monte Carlo Rear Spoiler KW ST Coilovers Wheel Spacers (8mm at front, 16mm at rear) Yellow Painted Calipers Supersprint Exhaust with cut bumper Forge Induction Kit Forge Blow-off Valve OSRAM Cool Blue 'Xenon Look' Headlight Bulbs Interior LED Bulbs
  8. Thanks, Rick. I live there but ferry costs are: Uig (Skye) to Tarbert (Harris) - £72.00 return for car and driver, shortest crossing at 1h 40m; or, Ullapool (Rossshire) to Stornoway (Lewis) - £117.00 return for car and driver, main crossing at 2h 30m.
  9. My Fabia III SE L with Monte Carlo rear spoiler on the Atlantic coast of the Outer Hebrides.
  10. Hi, Damo. I'm looking for someone who knows about VCDS codes - I'm clueless. I've just fitted a pair of genuine Skoda LED Number Plate light units to my Fabia 3. Although they're not listed for the Fabia, I noticed Brian (bj78) had fitted them to his Fabia 3 and they looked good. The units are a perfect fit but I'm getting an Error message on the dash for Number Plate Lights. I messaged Brian to see how he got round it and he told me that the new lamp units have to be activated through VCDS. Normally, I would go to the Skoda dealer for this but I live on a Scottish Island with no Dealer and my next service is over a year away.

There are a couple of VCDS consoles in local garages here and Brian has given me the following narrative:

    STG 09 Zentralelektronik

    31347

    STG 17 Schalttafeleinsatz

    20103

    STG 09 (Zentralelektrik)

    Anpassung

Leuchte25KZL HA60 ( this is the numberplate led light )

    Lasttyp 25 auswählen  (load type)

Wert auf 43 allgemeine LED anpassen ( set value to 43 )

Dimmwert AB 25 auswählen ( Dimvalue AB set to 25)

Wert auf 127 anpassen ( Set value to 127)

Double Dutch to me but, if I take this to a local garage, will they know what code(s) to enter to activate the lights?  The instructions that came with the lamp units referred to a five digit code from the 'spare parts catalogue' which has to be entered but I'm not sure which of the above is the correct code.

    Thanks,

    John

John, you really need to ask this out on the forum, as I'm like you... a bit clueless on VCDS.

I don't have it myself, I ask others to code stuff for me.

      Sorry I can't help

      Regards

      Damo
