  1. I have a skoda superb laurin klement 2016, the problem is drivers side hid bulb keeps turning pink and goes really dull. The dealer has changed the bulb twice in a space of a month and the problem remains. Today they changed the bulbs for ones which I bought with osram d3s night breaker laser and I've changed the headlamp ballast aswell, as they said at the dealers that this is what normally causes the issue. However after changing bulbs and ballast when switching the lights on they start up and within minutes you can see the drivers bulb start to fade and become duller. Myself and the tech are now scratching our heads as to what else it could be. The next suggestion is to change the cable between the ballast and the ignitor at the back of the bulb. Anyone come across this problem any advice would be most welcome.
  2. Skoda dealership have now changed both solenoid at the top of the engine and the light is still coming on at 3600 revs with the exact egr code They are telling me there is a second egr at the front of the engine and this could be the cause now. This has become a very expensive fix, and still not right.
  3. Skoda main dealership. The code that came up was pointing directly to the egr.The old egr was very carboned up and sticking.
  4. I was recommended to change the egr and cooler, so I did. the old one was pretty cruddy after being o for 220k. However even after changing the egr the same fault appeared yesterday. What to do.
  5. Both mine have failed on my mk3. Any idea what the part was that they fitted??
  6. I have skoda superb 2.0 tdi 190 dsg 220k miles. The problem I have is a flashing glow plug light under heavy acceleration. It's seems to be an intermittent fault Trouble codes: P040200 - Exhaust Gas Recirc.Flow Excessive Detected static. so I took it to my local skoda dealership whom I've used for over 25 years they diagnosed it as an egr fault. So I had egr and cooler code cleared and updated. However under the same conditions of accelerating from a roundabout the glow plug light started to flash again with no loss of power. I read the code on obdeleven and its exactly the same code as before. So it's back to the dealers to find out what it is. anyone else out there had this issue?
  7. Just out of interest did that unit cure your problem. Having the same issue now with my2016.
  8. My 2016 superb also 190 and on 154,000 miles now. Could do without the expense just after Christmas, buts needs must.
  9. My question is the flywheel has started rattling and I know it will need changing very soon. Do I also need to change the clutch packs aswell or would it be OK not to keep costs down. I have no codes just rattling on tick over.
  10. Hello again been a while. Need help please, is it possible to remove the front radiator grill and chrome surround without taking the bumper off? I hit a pheasant and it's damaged the grill and I'm trying to to a cheap repair. Been to dealers and they've quoted nearly £700 for this....
  11. Is there anybody near to oswestry who would be able to do a few adaptations via VCDS. I'm willing to pay would just like to have tsr activation and accelerater pedal done. I have skoda superb mk3 L & k 190hp estate.
  12. I have L&k 2.0 190 dsg est I'm getting in mixed urban and A road 39-42mpg very disappointed. My old superb 170 dsg est I was doing 44 urban and low 50s on a run. I do have a slightly heavy right foot but all the same not impressed.
  13. I've been struggling to track my superb. I've had it done at Kwik fit on their Hunter system which is supposed to be the best. But still steering wheel out to the left and drifting to the right. So took it back and they've tried again. Each time they show me that it's spot on until you take it down the road and no change. So took it furrows Skoda Oswestry and they've put it on their Hunter system and tried on three occasions and still no joy until today when their chief tech looked and found a little play in the rack on passenger side. He said it wasn't enough to fail mot but there is definite play in the rack. So after replacing alloy wheels if I want a new rack it's going to set me back £1700 fitted. Ouch!! The car has done 190,000 miles. Is this a known fault can I get a cheaper rack anywhere that's any good?
  14. Yes. Problem is half the time these things are not as straight forward as they appear. Wish they were would have saved me an awful lot of money. But we are where we are. Thanks for all the help that was forthcoming.
