That’s just the icon for the Vehicle Status screen, tap it and you can switch views between things like eco rating and other vehicle-related information.
its not a warning, notification, or alert symbol.

I normally go for slightly more expensive LED replacements and I’ve never had an issue, plus you get a good warranty with the more premium LED bulbs.
I don’t know if they are the same fitment as the Karoq but I got my 955 (W16W) reverse bulbs from AutoBeam and they’ve been great since I installed them months ago.
Another thing you could try is using an OBD II adapter along with either Carista or OBDEleven and you have the ability to change each individual bulb to be recognised as either halogen or LED which should, in theory, remove the error even if they aren’t CANBUS compatible as it isn’t expecting as high a power draw if a bulb is set to LED.

Would you care to name the dealership so we could quote them ?
All of them eventually, more and more are getting the updated interval of 15 Years/180k miles. -

…What? This is getting ridiculous, there was supposed to have been an announcement fired off to all of the VAG dealerships July 1st so there should be a new set interval and now they’ve come back with this? I had already had it pretty much confirmed the 1.5 TSI ACT is 180,000 miles or 15 years.Seems we’re no closer to getting a definitive answer as it seems to be anything plucked from thin air on the day…

I’ve had confirmation from Skoda UK that the TDI (the 1.6 at least) has a belt change interval of 140,000 miles with no time limit, only mileage.

Any way to get a set-in-stone confirmation of the new cambelt interval periods for each TDI and TSI engine?
I’m on a Karoq group on FB and someone went through the Skoda live chat to find out what the new interval is for the 1.5 TSI ACT and in the end the rep had to call the Technical team and got an official answer of “15 Years or 180,000 miles”.
It would be interesting to see what the new intervals are for the other engines (1.0 TSI, 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI) and to finally put this whole mystery to bed.

I’ve been following this thread for a while now and my cambelt is due replacement at the end of the year (way off I know) and so far all I’ve really seen is mainly 1.5 TSI’s (both ACT and non-ACT) but after much searching I can’t seem to find anybody who has had the 1.6 TDI cambelt (+water pump) done, can anyone who has this engine chime in if you’ve had it done?

I used OBDEleven to activate Scandinavian DRLs, and I can report that the headlights are not permanently on. They only come on when the ambient light level drops sufficiently.
Hmm, I may have to test during brighter hours, if that’s the case I’ll gladly enable it again.
Do you just leave your headlights in Auto?

This is one of the first things I had a go at when I got my Karoq, I’ve used Carista for years and took it for a spin in the Karoq, I found ‘Scandinavian Mode’ and activated it and it did what I wanted (activated rear running light’s permanently) but the downside is that the LED headlights are also permanently on which I didn’t like the idea of so I disabled it again.

I'm currently looking at some Superb Mk3 280's but I'm having a hard time finding some solid info on what DSG box is in which model, initially I though it was the DQ500 which turns out it wasn't, now I'm seeing DQ381 and DQ380, the former apparantly being just the 4x4 version of the latter, which I assume would be in a 66-plate Sportline 4x4? And if so are they generally reliable boxes compared to the earlier DQ200's for example.

I was under the impression that the iPhone version of the adaptor couldn't use Bluetooth for whatever reason, didn't really matter to me as I wasn't really needing Wifi while in my car doing stuff lol.
-
Wifi if you have an iPhone, Bluetooth if you have an Android.

I'm really scratching for bluetooth in mine and the RNS315 sounds perfect, does it really require VCDS to enable the bluetooth module though?

seems fine too me and gained a bit on the dyno in my project thread, best of all is can hear gear pops better, easy to clean and install much better than OEM paper filter yearly replacement
Good stuff
I don't suppose anyone knows where to find this specific kit in the UK perhaps? I like the clean positioning of this one, would've love the VWR intake but requires a smaller battery, and I quite often leave my car sitting for 3-4 days on end, and from what I've heard the smaller Braille batteries don't like it.

"......astronomically gargantuan demand........"? Something of an enormously overstated prospect, I think. The Fabia vRS has always been a niche market car...in sales numbers. Not everyone shares your enthusiasm, I'm afraid.
Oh no I didn't mean the Mk2 vRS specifically I just meant for hot hatches in general, nearly 1 in 10 cars I see on the road are hot hatches and they're only getting more popular, even the volume of Mk3 Monte's I've seen everywhere and I just think for a few grand more a lot of them would easily have been vRS's if they'd made one.
Just seems more like Skoda aren't allowed to make one because it'd steal a huge chunk of sales, don't see VW, Seat and Audi worrying about poor sales of their own respective hot hatch predecessors in consideration of manufacturing the newer versions.
-
My hopes went through the roof when I saw this thread title...
When the old boss of Skoda left I was hoping they'd see sense and see what people are REALLY requesting, this quote really pee'd me off "Skoda boss Bernhard Maier says there is “obviously a demand” in a vRS SUV".
But they don't see the astronomically gargantuan demand for another hot hatch?! I am so butthurt right now.

So anxious to see what this can achieve.

If you don't care about the current caps and are changing them anyway do what I did and just pry behind the 'sticker' of the front of the cap (mind the actual alloys) and bend it out towards you a bit so it's like half stuck and half bent up, from there you've got enough play to just yank them off.
-
Ah bugger ok I'll keep looking, what was it you didn't like about the bigger size from the A1 Competition Line?
-
I've been looking at alloys and found a set for £500 in immaculate condition from an S3 but the dimensions of the tyre are 225/40/R18 5x112.
Would this be too big for the Fabia? I've seen others mention 215/40/R18 being ok so would another 10mm be too much?
-
Now that's what I'm talking about!
-
Too much?

I’d put £50 on the price of “£22,000” not being realistic, I guarantee it’ll be at a minimum £25k, if not more, by the time production actually starts.
