  1. SEAT in general are winding down to a 2030 cease in production entirely in favour of Cupra so the Ateca ending production isn’t a big shock.
  2. The 1.6 TDI only came with the DQ200 gearbox, there was no 4x4 option. I’ve got the 1.6 TDI in my Karoq and I don’t notice the vibration you mention. Is the engine running sweet regardless? It could be resonance from failing engine mounts, does it vibrate if you hold it between that rev-range whilst in Park?

It was due to a fire risk recall on certain TSI engines, the 1.6 and 2.0 TDI’s still got full engine covers.
  4. I’ve had pretty much the same noise since I’ve owned it, a knocking sound coming from the front-left side whenever going over uneven road or basically anything that causes the car to bounce side to side even slightly, sometimes it’s not as noticeable, other times it’s VERY noticeable. I think the only reason I haven’t done anything about it is because the car spends 90% of its life on the motorway so it’s not a constant annoyance. Worst case is I splurge on a new pair of front shocks and top mounts, pretty sure that’s the root cause of it from what many people have said.
  5. Interestingly the photos on Skodas UK website of the Elroq SE & Edition have a different DRL design than every other Elroq that’s been shown…. wth?
  6. I think I’ll wait to see what Škoda officially come out with in a few days, the information on Listers could definitely be incorrect in some areas, even the alloys on the base model are listed as Proteus and there’s no way they’d put 19” wheels on a base spec car the same size as the Karoq which comes with just 17” at the lowest spec.
  7. So much for being an affordable, smaller alternative to the Enyaq, even with the extras removed that’s still around £40k… that’s pure insanity just for a Karoq with a big battery under the floor.
  8. I just wish they’d officially unmask the damn thing, it has been going on for months of ‘teaser’ shots, sketches, interior shots, constant ‘coming soon’ FB posts…
  9. I’m sure everyone knows by now that the Karoqs manufactured after approximately 2019 have the newer keyless fobs which disable themselves if left idle after a short period of time. My question is is it possible to simply purchase a newer fob (obviously will require coding) to get this feature on a pre-2019 Karoq, or has anyone already purchased a new fob for there older Karoq?
  10. If there’s no difference to the way it drives and no warning lights flagging up then it could be something loose and the engine at idle revs is causing enough of a vibration that makes it noticeable, the AC raises the idle RPM ever so slightly that would increase the vibration a tiny bit which would explain it being noisier. Personally I would get it booked in and checked over, it’s definitely noticeable on that 2nd vid so at least you’ve got good proof of the noise.
  11. Best I’ve ever had from my 1.6 TDI DSG was 69.9mpg… I was so annoyed I couldn’t have squeezed that last 0.1 out before getting to the destination 😂 I haven’t tried sitting at 60 all the way on the motorway yet, not that I could anyway as there’s so many bloody 50mph average cameras up at the moment 😤
  12. Would it not be easier to just use a long brush 🤣 I’ve got the 18” Bragas and even I’ve got plenty of clearance to shove it right through to give them a proper clean from time to time.
  13. That seems extremely high for an independent, even my local Škoda dealership will do my 1.6 TDI’s belt and pump for about £950… I don’t know how that Indy can justify that price.
  14. But it doesn’t even let me see the general overview of the service history, the option is completely missing.
  15. I was just going to check something on my service history of my Karoq via erWin but now for some reason the option to view my DSS (Digital Service Schedule) has dissapeared! I even tried re-registering again, once again as a 'company' but it still doesn't want to let me view it! What the hell is going on with it? I'll be furious if they're gatekeeping that information now.
  16. I’d put £50 on the price of “£22,000” not being realistic, I guarantee it’ll be at a minimum £25k, if not more, by the time production actually starts.
  17. That’s just the icon for the Vehicle Status screen, tap it and you can switch views between things like eco rating and other vehicle-related information. its not a warning, notification, or alert symbol.
  18. I normally go for slightly more expensive LED replacements and I’ve never had an issue, plus you get a good warranty with the more premium LED bulbs. I don’t know if they are the same fitment as the Karoq but I got my 955 (W16W) reverse bulbs from AutoBeam and they’ve been great since I installed them months ago. Another thing you could try is using an OBD II adapter along with either Carista or OBDEleven and you have the ability to change each individual bulb to be recognised as either halogen or LED which should, in theory, remove the error even if they aren’t CANBUS compatible as it isn’t expecting as high a power draw if a bulb is set to LED.
  19. All of them eventually, more and more are getting the updated interval of 15 Years/180k miles.
  20. …What? This is getting ridiculous, there was supposed to have been an announcement fired off to all of the VAG dealerships July 1st so there should be a new set interval and now they’ve come back with this? I had already had it pretty much confirmed the 1.5 TSI ACT is 180,000 miles or 15 years. Seems we’re no closer to getting a definitive answer as it seems to be anything plucked from thin air on the day…
  21. I’ve had confirmation from Skoda UK that the TDI (the 1.6 at least) has a belt change interval of 140,000 miles with no time limit, only mileage.
  22. Any way to get a set-in-stone confirmation of the new cambelt interval periods for each TDI and TSI engine? I’m on a Karoq group on FB and someone went through the Skoda live chat to find out what the new interval is for the 1.5 TSI ACT and in the end the rep had to call the Technical team and got an official answer of “15 Years or 180,000 miles”. It would be interesting to see what the new intervals are for the other engines (1.0 TSI, 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI) and to finally put this whole mystery to bed.
  23. I’ve been following this thread for a while now and my cambelt is due replacement at the end of the year (way off I know) and so far all I’ve really seen is mainly 1.5 TSI’s (both ACT and non-ACT) but after much searching I can’t seem to find anybody who has had the 1.6 TDI cambelt (+water pump) done, can anyone who has this engine chime in if you’ve had it done?
  24. Hmm, I may have to test during brighter hours, if that’s the case I’ll gladly enable it again. Do you just leave your headlights in Auto?
  25. This is one of the first things I had a go at when I got my Karoq, I’ve used Carista for years and took it for a spin in the Karoq, I found ‘Scandinavian Mode’ and activated it and it did what I wanted (activated rear running light’s permanently) but the downside is that the LED headlights are also permanently on which I didn’t like the idea of so I disabled it again.
