Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
Got the selector back today by mail. Surprise, surprise ... ECU.eu added an external additional microswitch. So they did not do any internal repairs. I'll try to attach photos. The repair order states: Repair result: repaired, your unit was successfully repaired and tested Fault cause: internal cause Hints from our technician: after installation, please clear the trouble codes entries in the corresponding control units. An initialisation drive may be necessary

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
Garage charged 190€ so it might be something around 2 hours. I might assembly the factory refurbished unit my self. It's not difficult but you need to get under the vehicle so you need a car lift (or something, don't know the right term)

"Your unit was succesfully repaired and tested. Fault cause: internal cause." This was all I got... nevertheless now I have two working selectors. And I have to say it was quite fast. I send out the selector 7th Jan and it arrived today, 16th Jan.

Yes. No faults yet. The only problem with this fixed one is that moving the selector from P to D is a bit stiff.

1.0 TSI additional oil catch
Has anyone added a oil catch can kit to 1.0TSI? My Monte Carlo has 103k km's on the clock and I got the inlet passages cleaned and they were dirty... Is there a plug in kit for the 1.0 TSI on the market?

The selector was replaced on Monday and it seems to work. Sending the faulty on to ecu.eu.

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
No, but I hope I will get some info after the repair. At least I will demand a detailed list of the repair. It can't be that you send a component to be fixed and they will send it back with only explanation "repaired".

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
Thank you for the diagram. I contacted ecu.eu and got a reply that they have a partner here in Finland, Autotronix. Next step will be that I will get the refurbished selector, 6C1 713 025 AA, fitted to the car. Then I will send the other one to be fixed to autotronix.fi . The current 6C1 713 041 C selector is giving hard time...if the fault is active, you can't lock the doors with key fob. I've booked the selector replacement on the 15th Dec. I also will get the intake manifold, inlet passages and the fuel injectors cleaned.

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
Actually he did not even located the microswitch... that's why I'm not very confident with this repair. He did find some bad soldering and renewed those. Because the selector, that is now fitted to my Fabia, is working correctly 90% of the time, I might send this just "refurbished" selector to ECU.eu. Does any one know is it possible to test the selector without attaching it to a vehicle? Just to test out the electronics. I think the wiring loom is way too short that you could disconnect the connectors from the selector in the vehicle and connect them to the test subject.

Just got a call from the car electrician. He thinks he might have fixed the problem. This was his first try. Not bad price (as this was a rehearsal), 80€. Going to collect tomorrow. It's going to take a while to get it fitted to the Fabia but if it works I will take my other selector also to be processed. If this did not work I will send my other selector to Germany to be repaired.

Got this info from a DSG specialist here in Finland. And my selectors, original and 2nd hand, are both black tops.

Error: workshop! Only leave in P position. Anyone fixed it themselves?
I have the same problem with my Monte Carlo. DQ200, 7 speed. I already got the gear shift lever unit replaced ( 2nd hand part, driven 26t km.) It started to give error after three months. Error! Workshop!. Blaaa, blaa blaa... The notification comes very briefly while driving with alarm beeb. Maybe 2-3 seconds and dissapers. There is a fault code found with VCDS, B1162 29 - Signal Implausible, Intermittent - Confirmed I've done some research: in my case my gear shift lever part number is 6C1 713 025 AA and the repair kits are available only for the levers with number 3Q0, 5Q0 and 5Q1. In this case the only solution is to tear down the whole unit and solder out the old microswitch and replace with new one. But if someone has an alternative solution, I all ears!

Does anyone else here have a 300k+ miles superb?
2011 Superb Estate 2.0 CFFB 6-speed manual. 303 000km. I've had the car since 2015. It had 132 000km on the clock. Flywheel started to make noise at 180k km. Got the flywheel+clutch replaced. DPF washed just under 300k km. Original turbo Original starter Original alternator Replaced battery 2017, 177 000km Replaced alternatorbelt tensioner Replaced 2x timing belt kit (third one just ordered) Replaced front+rear shocks and springs Replaced all wheel bearings. Front left two times Remaped 171 bhp/394Nm. Avarage consumption per 100km after 142 000km is 5.04 liters. Calculated from the refuelings. At summer time I get easily 4.0 l / 100km. Going to keep the car to the bitter end. Now the rising threat is RUST.

are the incandescend high beams adjustable?
Driver's side. LHD. But you will find same torx heads from the other unit.
-
are the incandescend high beams adjustable?
Ok. That's true. My bad. Here is some pictures where you can find those adjusting screws for the halogen bulbs. In the picture you can see the backside of the left headlight unit. Left arrow pointing vertical and right arrow horizontal adjustment screw. The original question was: They are... But only manualy.
-
are the incandescend high beams adjustable?
Wrong! The halogen bulbs aiming is adjustable in the bi-xenon AFS headlight. There is two external torx heads for vertical and horizontal adjustment. They are hard to get but it is possible. I will post a pic later today. You need female torx E6 socket.

Electric windows gone dead
My problem cleared. I got a second hand driver's side motor and after replacining the motor, both windows are working.
