  1. Could you do a tutorial on how to replace the mounts, what parts are needed and what tools?
  2. I guess changing the engine mounts can only be done by taking out the engine and cannot be done by normal people with a normal amount of tools and no lift?
  3. You placed a layer of 10mm foam ontop of the alubutyl layer on the hood, is there a difference between alubutyl only and plus the 10mm foam? you could put patches of alubutyl onto the metal where your spare tire is, that would deaden as well. (not engine but like the foam you put there)
  4. Hello all, the electric struts of the S2 sometimes tend to die. How does one notice they start to go bad and are there signs or do they die suddenly without warning? Is it a slow process and only noticeable when the lifters are compared to a car with good lifters? As there are now aftermarket electric lifters do you have suggestions which one to choose? (specifically no change to mechanical lifters) €dit: Are there ways to maintain them? Grease them? Oil them?
  5. just my 2 cents, but I really loved the dark grey interior of the Superb 3 and also thought about coloring the S2 interior but that would be quite a challenge for me 😞
  6. @wokwon Might I ask what is the benefit of retrofitting the electric auxiliary heater? What is the difference between before and after - does the cars "simply" get warm air much more quickly? Does the CAN PTC heater have some settings to adjust, e.g. limit the current or is this purely done by the passive PTC element? What is the benefit of using the CAN PTC heater over the non-CAN PTC heater as there appears to be a considerable price difference? Is the modification worth it or what would be a situation (or position of living) making the modification worth it?
  7. @xtp77 And another question since I cannot edit anymore: Is alubutyl a good choice for deadening the engine hood or would neoprene be better? Both have roughtly the same temperature range, but neoprene is much lighter
  8. Interesting topic Did you put the foam sound absorption mat under the spare tire or did you simply put a somewhat rectangular piece on top of it between the trunk cover and tire? After applying the alubutyl onto the hood how heavy became the hood? Is the hood lifter still sufficient? Is there enough left so you can mount the original mat back again onto the hood covering the alubutyl? How much squaremeters Alubutyl would you estimate you need for the engine hood?
  9. Hello all, on the Superb 2 prefacelift, is it possible to have the rear fog lights lit when braking? Does anybody have a tutorial and before/after pictures?
  10. I notice some noises from my panoramic roof. I only notice it when the chassis is twisting. It apparently comes from the web in the front, when closed the frame of the web bumps against the frame of the car as there is very little space. If I remove the web entirely it is quiet of course. I already tried to put in some foam but that got pushed down so it did nothing after some openings. Does someone had the same problem and could share how to fix it?
  11. There appears to be a tool specifically to clean the panoramic roof. I found this: https://www.xxl-automotive.de/spezialwerkzeug/karosserie/autoscheiben/8623/reinigungsadapter/fettstein-fuer-panoramadach-vw-tiguan-touran-passat-sharan-audi-q5-q7 Does someone know which VAS number the tool for the Skoda Superb 2 (pre face lift) is?
  12. I recently had a Superb 3 and noticed the key fob had a much greater range as well as a metal cover without prohibiting the wireless KESSY function. I now have the same metal cover on my Superb 2 key but the range is abysmal. The battery is already new. Is there a way to increase the range of the KESSY system or make it work better close range to the car with a metal key cover, like it did on the S3? I stumbled across this, can this be done on the S2 as well? Did already someone do it and made photos from the mod? https://www.billswebspace.com/ExtendingMKIVKeyFobAntennaRange.htm
  13. The backup reads all Long Coding of the 09 and subsystems only. Long Coding of 09 is all zero and Subsystems WWS371 is 174DDD, RLHS is 03885D. But other than that, I seem to be unable to find anything else, no file or so 😞
