As the title suggests, my rain sensing wipers in my octavia mk11 pre fl aren't working anymore but my auto headlamps work (have heard they both work with the same sensor). Please help

Haha yes, that's a very specific car I've mentioned because my dad already owns an Octy MK1 elegance with a manual transmission, and the mk11 will be for me, and just so that it seems like we've actually bought a different car I want the mk11 L&K because of features like the sunroof, xenon headlights, electric seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, 6 air bags and many many more. Need an automatic because of the traffic conditions here in Bombay, the DSG would provide me with an ease of driving. Lastly, only the 2006/2007 octy mk11 L&K would fit in my budget and tick all the boxes of the features I'm looking for in my car. All Skoda cars are sold in good numbers in India because of their extensive list of features, their tank-like built quality and the fuel economy (diesel), hence a lot of the cars sold in India were the L&Ks (top-end varients). Skoda did suffer serious depreciation because of their A.S.S horror stories and really expensive spares.

Hey guys, does anyone know how to reinstall the glove box light without removing the glove box? My car was always missing the glove box light (car was pre ownded) and i never bothered sourcing one until recently and now i cant seem to install it in the slot without scratching the **** out of the glove box, anyone who has installed them will know how easily the glove box gets scratched. I have attached a picture of the said light unit

Agreed, turn signals are better off as the standard ones. Shall be switching back to the standard ones myself.

Update: The turn signals have started hyper flashing for some reason (they weren't earlier). They seem to be working fine on the hazard lights though. I'd suggest everyone to purchase resistors with these leds.

Hey guys I’m just making this thread for the people who want to switch from stock turn signals to led ones but are in a dilemma or simply want to know what the outcome is. I bought my led turn signals from AliExpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32807664041/32807664041.html They are pretty cheap to buy and honestly are way better than the regular old bulbs. The leds are a lot brighter and emit an amber/ orange colour the old bulbs were yellow. The start up and turn off time is pretty instant unlike the regular bulbs hence the leds blink slightly quicker when compared to the regular bulbs side by side. Ps. My car does not have the canbus system hence did not need resistors with the leds, I assume the cars with the maxidot have canbus and might need resistors.

could you please share the links of the same, i have an octy mk1 too and might be cool to have some of these modifications done

Just came across this threat and decided to go through it, Mrgf could you please post some details & pictures of the light output the leds are providing you, as i bought leds for my mk1 octavia fog lights {(projectors) i know these are very different cars we're talking about, and fog lights are meant to be yellow} but the output from my leds were horrible. my original Osram 55w bulbs were far better in terms of brightness and distance covered. The leds i bought were from aliexpress.com and were of the brand oslamp.

hey guys, my license plate lights aren't working, i replaced the old w5w bulbs with newer ones but the lights still doesn't work. Could it be a wiring issue or just a simple blown fuse? thanks in advance!

I'm quite embarrassed whilst i ask you guys this but how do i identify what hp my car came with from factory ? I've gone through a few threads where some people said their mk1 octavia was 90hp / 110hp / 130hp.. my car is a skoda octavia tour 2006, 1.9tdi elegance, i know this information is very vague for you guys to help me but please let me know whatever info you guys or I need to in order to come to a conclusion. thanks in advance.
