Hello,

 

I have an Octavia mk2 pre-fl 2009, which has the audience head unit along with the 12 speakers setup and an amp under the passengers seat.

Current CAN gateway from factory is 1K0 907 530Q with HW: 1K0 907 531 & SW: H16.

I recently decided to upgraded from the audience head unit (1K0 035 456) to a bolero unit (3T0 035 156B) built by Blaupunkt from a Superb mk2. 

Now the problem is that the unit powers up as it should but I have no sound when I try to play any music.  I have tried to play music from the AUX and CD, the screen displays that a track is playing from the CD but there is no sound whereas if I reconnect the audience head unit the speakers come back to life.

I haven't been able to test the radio the antenna cable for the audience head unit is different from what is required for the bolero.

Attached herewith are pictures of the audience pin out diagram, the quad-lock setup and the bolero pin out diagram.

Hello, I believe these infotainment units have component protection - which means they cannot be used in a different vehicle without them being unlocked, was this done?

Hello, 

I have already entered the 4 digit security pin that is asked for upon starting the bolero unit, if that's what you mean.

I am able to access all the functions and mess around with the settings, but the only thing that is amiss is the sound from the speakers.

Okay, so after a failed attempt of retrofitting a Bolero head unit (after researching I realized Boleros aren't compatible with the factory amplifier and only the Columbus can be retrofitted)  I have procured an RNS510 (7L6 035 680 b) which I have tried to retrofit in my Octavia MK2, I have tried to get coded but have failed to get sound output from the speakers.

I have attached the full scan report for you to look over.
