  1. A bit late to this and apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but do you have Spotify set to the highest quality for streaming and downloads?
  2. All you had to was stop somewhere and you could have disabled it perfectly safely.
  3. If I search for A864S then Amazon wants to ship from the UK so must be a LHD/RHD thing.
  4. Hmm, I'm starting to wonder if A863S is the left hand drive fitment and that's why they don't fit. Amazon says they're the correct fitting and that A864S isn't. I'm working in France and bought them from Amazon.fr rather than amazon.co.uk I hadn't thought of that one.
  5. Interesting. Mine are A863S but the Karoq is listed on the box. I can see me taking the Dremel to them.
  6. Having got tired of the noisy wipers, I bought a pack of Bosch Aerotwin blades and I can't get them to fit. Unless I'm being a complete idiot, the fitment (the only one in the box) seems to be a touch longer than the original (pictured) and it fouls against the curvature of the fitment on the wiper arm. Has anyone else had this? 2020 Sportline if it's relevant.
  7. Give the man a coconut. The next time I drove on the motorway, it behaved exactly as it should.
  8. A fairly reductio ad absurdum scenario, but the basic fact is that your insurer can't get out of paying third party claims, regardless of how naughty you've been. There's an argument that they might reduce any payout to the insured if the claim can be directly linked to an undeclared modification. There's a whole lot of scaremongering goes on about insurance being cancelled and I'd welcome any evidence of it ever having happened retrospectively.
  9. On what basis would it invalidate your insurance?
  10. It's the DSG. It's early days but no complaints at all. I picked it up near Brighton and then drove up to Chippenham, just getting used to it. I then hooked up my folding camper and drove to France. The trailer is about 500kg and it might as well not have been there as, other than holding gears a bit longer, it was practically unnoticeable. In general, I'd say I don't think I'm missing out by not having the 2 litre.
  11. The 1.5TSi. I couldn't really justify the 2.0 for the driving that I do.
  12. Another Race Blue Sportline, only the little engine though. I picked it up in Saturday and very happy so far.
  13. Thanks, there's no mention of a specific setting for the ACC, and I've been right through the menu system to no avail, so I'll see if it "learns" that I'm overseas and sorts itself out. It's no great inconvenience if it doesn't.
  14. Thanks, I did a search before asking but it came back with 330 pages of results! I'll try again from the laptop and see if I can refine it better.
  15. I did for the lights, is there another option somewhere?
  16. Hi, I picked up my new Karoq on Saturday and brought it over to France where I'm currently posted. When passing cars to my right, the ACC matches the speed of the car I'm trying to pass, just like it would in the UK. I had a Superb before this and the ACC on that car "recognised" that I was on the other side of the road and modified the passing behaviour so that I could overtake on cruise control but couldn't 'undertake' on the right. Am I missing something or does the Karoq not support this? Thanks, J
  17. Mildly disappointingly, it's MY20 but I soon got over it when I cranked up the Canton.
  18. I got my days confused, travelling today to collect in the morning. I'll report back tomorrow.
  19. I'm on the edge of my seat now, wondering if my car is going to be the new spec when I collect it on Friday. It's through an agent and he says it left the factory on 25 August but is MY20 spec. I'm hoping he's wrong.
  20. When was the actual changeover?
  21. Cheers, I'll see if I can get under it before I go for the ferry back to the UK, either that or see if a Belgian dealer will take pity on me at short notice.
  22. Two years of trouble free motoring and now two posts in two days. Anyway, jumped in the car this morning and got about 100 metres before the dash lit up like a Christmas tree showing oil sensor fault, check engine light, diesel pre-heater fault, ACC fault and start stop fault and it went into limp mode. I called out Skoda Assist and, after muttering about a turbo fault, he found a damaged rubber pipe that he reckoned had been chewed by an animal. That cleared everything apart from the oil sensor fault so I'm assuming that the wiring for the sensor may have been damaged too as the oil level is fine. Any idea where I need to look to find the sensor and it's wiring?
  23. Thanks all, it was the Skoda dealer so I'll give them a shout tomorrow.
  24. Hi, My Superb 2.0 TDI was serviced in October at around 19000 miles and is now showing oil service and inspection due in 1000 miles, with the odometer at 23300. Given that's about 3 months and 4000 miles, that seems to be a very short interval especially given that the bulk of my driving is a motorway commute. Any thoughts as to why it's so short?
