Thanks for the replies chaps this is very reassuring my belt is 5 years and 40k miles (water pump failed on previous owner at 40k so cambelt changed at same time) car mileage is 81k . The quotes I have had have vary from £650 to £1200 !!!!! So on the info you have kindly supplied I will not be changing the cambelt probably untill the water pump fails !!! Thanks again

Looking for some advice please changing up from 1st to 2nd gear is rarely smooth mostly feels a bit tight and like its going to crunch ,all other gears up and down ok. it allmost feels like you want to push the clutch pedal down furthur to do the change if that makes sense.

I've found a new one which they say fits my car(from reg no) which is about £100 so is there somewhere I go to get it fitted and coded as I'm totally dumb to this Thanks

Thanks for the advice paid £42 today for diagnostics result "found fault for positining(positioning?)motor for left headlight.carried out output test.requires headlight renewal as motor built in.new headlight unit coded to vehicle- £756.18 !!!!!!!! Any ideas on a cheaper fix please !!

Yes it says cornering lights (afs)but the lights go sideways and up and down on startup as if nothing wrong

Most days this alarm comes on the bulbs are ok and the lights appear to do the usuall dance when starting up wondered if anyone knows what to check please. skoda octavia scout 2.0 tdi 2015

Had problems last week on 2 occasions while on holiday when I encountered a "road closed" I carried on driving and then took what I thought we be a turn in the right direction and expected the sat nav to re -route me , but case one coming out of Dawlish trying to get back to newton abbot area it took me up narrow lanes steep hills with no room for 2 vehicles and then if anything it was trying to make me drive towards Exeter!! 2nd case coming out of Paignton main car park again following route suggested "road closed" kept driving in right direction next thing I'm in centre of Torquay in rush hour while navigating to Newton abbot!!! Its probably me but I'm not confident with this system think I'll be putting Garmin in car as back up.

Looking for help please ,recently purchased octavia mk3 greenline 2016 noticed today drivers side side mirror assy is loose ,that is the mirror and its bracket which fits to the door would like advice how to tighten up please

Hi everyone could do with some advice please ,wiper motor has stopped working no warning signs one day ok ,next not working. Have checked fuse that's ok ,someone listening while I switched on and off thought they could hear a "click".If I have to have a look or replace could do with some advice as to how to remove all the plastic on tailgate please.
