  1. I had the provided textile mats for my previous Octavia Scout. They were rubbish. Replaced them with the OEM rubber mats- so much better and well worth the money. Shop about on ebay for a bargain.
  2. Hi folks, Took delivery of my new Quartz Grey Kodiaq SE-L 2.0 Tdi DSG 4x4 7 seater on 02/03/2020. So far so good, once I found the tool kit under the 3rd row seat!
  3. Going back to the original title of the thread, I rather like mine. I have moved across from a manual 6 speed in my old Octavia Scout to the DSG in my Kodiaq and it's fine. Any issues with it at the moment are down to me getting to know how best to drive it. It's really smooth, the sport and manual bits work well and are easily swapped frpom one to the other. Even my fuel consumption is reasonable given that the engine is clearly as tight as a gnat's chuff with less than 400 miles on it. My previous experience of auto gearboxes are slushboxes in the states so this stacks up pretty well by comparison. As for the Columbus Infotainment though, I find myself hankering for the allegedly less capable Amundsen from my old car which eas so much easier to use and could connect reliably with my S9+.
  4. Apparently not, but they do look remrkably similar!
  5. Love Alcantara which was in both of my previous Octavia Scouts, but i have to say that the micro fibre cloth in my new Kodiaq SE-L seems just as nice. Whether it will wear as well, only time will tell but it looks almost indistiguishable.
  6. My Octavia Scout is never out of sport either and does its best MPG in that mode too. I think it's a feel thing, I don't think the consumption changes, it's just that the car ia a wee bit sharper in response so there is no need to push it harder.
  7. It's useless. Leave it switched off. On slippy surfaces it will kill you...
  8. I have it in my Octavia Scout. It is a reveltion, but then I live in Scotland. Don't have it in my new Kodiaq and am missing it already....
  9. I have LEDs on my Octavia Scout Facelift and they re brilliant. The headlamp washers do exactly what they say so I've never had any issue with them.
  10. It's a bit annoying for many of us I think who ordered their car before this cost cutting was put in place. If this penny pinching keeps up, my next Skoda will be my last. Seat are much more generous with their standard specs.
  11. I'm sure showing it in the infotainment system or not is buried somewhere in the options menu. I managed to turn it off on mine as I haven't listened to anything am since the '90's....
  12. I got a quote for my current 2018 Octy Scout. Quote on line was £13700, formal quote was £15600. I had already decided it was going anyhow, but I'm not sure where the extra £1900 came from?
  13. My new Quartz Gray 2.0TDI 150 4X4 DSG SE-L is now at the dealer. I could be a little excited... To be delivered 2nd March, as it's replacing my current leased Octavia Scout. Similarly to Carkus, got a great deal at the end of October when everythiong else was about £170 more. The Kodiaq is actually £2 less a month than the Octavia!
  14. My Octavia Scout is on a 2 yr 15K/yr lease. This is my second and they consistently go to about 18500 when they require a service. Swaping the wheels front to rear at the same time is a good idea. I always make sure the dealer knows not to take the car off of the variable servicing after they did do this with my first Scout. It pays to prepare!
  15. This is very interesting. My Octavia Scout on goodyears had a bit of a differential between front and rear so i had them swapped front to rear at the first service (18K). Side to side the wear is pretty identical. My wife drives a Ford Transit Custom with wheelchair access for our youngest. There is pronounced addtional wear on the shoulder of the NSF tyre when compared with the OSF. Rears look brand new after 21K. My previous Scout on Pirellis wore very evenbly all round with no swap. Very interesting as I said!
