  1. My Octavia VRS TDI DSG has had an existing intermittent fault with fuel pressure and boost in past and also plug 3 misfire when under warranty. Anyway it went into limp mode yesterday on M1 40 miles in - first the Eng Man light illuminated and then limp mode activated then after 5 mins the coil light flashed and I pulled off at jn. 29. I switched off car to maybe help reset after cool down. It didn't so got AA out to recover us. Long and short the following faults came up on the tablet. P190E00 coolant pump charge air cooler /power supply static fault P029900 boost pressure control below control limit. Spoke to DM Keith and they want to charge me £90 to plug in. Spoke to VWAG indy with same VAG diag. kit he will do ot for free. My question will DM Keith ignore the readings if its captured using the same kit? The VWAG specialist has a suspicion this is a knackered EGR valve and will cost £350 for part and £450 labour. If I go to DM Keith they will look at trying to get Skoda UK to fund some of the cost but can't promise anything. Has anybody been in a similar dilemma? And what the outcome given past issues? TIA
  2. I have got a MY16 Octavia VRS with Xenons and I am experiencing the same 'wobble' with the offside lamp, whenever I go over a bump particularly when cornering with 'sport' headlight setting activated via 'individual' it definitely bounces due to some sort of mechanical limitation and not some sort of real-time counteraction. I will take it back to the dealers to check under warranty even if only to see what they suggest.
  3. OCTTYVRS82. 2.0 TDI VRS DSG, CANDY WHITE, BLACK PACK, PRIVATE PLATE.
  4. LibreCAD is also good for opensource access
  5. Also look at free applets via IFTTT (If this then that) the app is available on play store and itunes. Brings alot of functionality to basic automated hardware.
  6. I have two cooau 1080p wifi cameras with Sd record and overwrite. Bought on amazon for £55 each. Main fed and night feed too.
  7. I thought it was either energy impact or similar just looks out of place and cheap looking. Even a sheet or plastic to wrap around it would make it less obvious. Didnt have this in my MK2 VRS FL just a solid sheet of metal and full view of the rad. Oh well another cost cutting exercise.
  8. When washing the MY15.5 VRS. Why can I see a black block of polystyrene (same type as in boot spare wheel area) through the front grille? Is this normal to see it?
  9. Oh I do like the MK3 just me being sentimental that's all.
  10. I know its really sad but I miss my old VRS. I have just seen her for sale in Sheffield (12.01.18) following my p/x for my Mk3 VRS. Here's a few pics - if anyone buys her or you know someone who does let me know.
  11. RoboOp, RoboOp - I have a 03 non-facelift so these listed below would need to be confirmed as working by members with FL03 variations - some work for the FL03 from what has been noted but I can't say for sure. this info below might be useful for you and others though with just the 03 (MY15.5 and previous) - all collated from posts pinned by AndyVee - no credit taken by myself. I've checked and verified as working by myself and SuperbTWM on Tuesday using very latest VCDS update firmware 17.##### as at 09.01.18 left mirror dip on reversing (VCDS) - not sure I like this as only drops an inch or so - also doesn't self right afterwards - can be disable in infotainment however or by moving mirror button to another position. fuel refill (VCDS) TSR (VCDS) HBA (already active) (VCDS) Directional fog lights front (VCDS) read the text in bold at the end - it will save a lot of faffing. Things that we have activated but haven't verified are: auto rain close (VCDS) although the link states works only with MY13 and MY14 - there is additional support for later variations once I have tested I will post findings here. Problems with following but will reattempt with SuperbTWM - as we think it was just VCDS being laggy. wiper teardrop front and rear (VCDS) twin fogs rear (VCDS) Things I want to activate are: DRL faded on indicate (VCDS) (in sync with indicator - there is another code for outsync with indicator too) Rear DRL's on (VCDS) Start/Stop off permanent (VCDS) front wiper park with ignition off (VCDS)
  12. Hi guys Coding for left mirror dip on reverse is here : this worked but remember the wing mirror button should be in the 'L' position for it to work everytime. verified as working on MY15.5 coding for refuel amount in maxi cycling is here: verified as working on MY15.5
  13. Many thanks to SuperbTWM for freeing up time to sort out my VCDS wish list today. Items complete: directional fog light traffic sign recog left mirror dip on reversing wiper teardrop front and rear auto rain close confirmed High beam assist as being active fuel refill Need to look at: start stop permanently off twin rear fogs DRL dim on indicate but that can be for next time.
  14. Hi wiggo Checked my reverse lights both do work must have been the dodgy reflection - so that one can come off my wish list. Tesla have an 'easter egg' basically they have played with the light set up and its brilliant. Google tesla lights and you'll see what I mean. Only had the car since thursday and driven about 80 miles. It is awesome. One think i would like to add to wish list is Permanent start stop OFF its too intrusive.
  15. Muzza - cheers for confirming I was wrong (means I can play sooner) . Assume that'll be why the plug and play ECU boxes (DTUK) are so popular then as they don't leave a trace assumedly.
