My S20+ works fine with my Android Auto, my older S9 could be hit and miss with connecting first time round but no problems with S20+ so far. Others experiences may differ but there has to be some rhyme or reason to it 🤣

@CookieMonster87 I had this with the dealership I used prior to them going bust. They did that on all 4 wheels, 1 wheel wasn't too bad but 3 were through the lacquer. I took it back the same day and they held their hands up. Replaced 3 wheels. Your car should come back the same as when it went it, at least cosmetically. Its a lazy way of removing the caps and instead the wheel should be removed. Call it laziness, incompetence or just untrustworthy, either way you need your wheels sorted at their cost. In my case they looked at who had done the job and knew straight away that there was no argument. It was the last in a string of offences apparently.

@TheWandererIf you can get into Skoda UK customer services ribs they will give you something, wont make anything right but it will be some kind of gesture. When a local dealer wasted my time Skoda UK paid for a service for the wife's car and gave me some cash back to cover the fuel and 'courtesy car.

Will be interestingvto hear what they have to say, or if they even reply at all. We were dealing with a 3 week+ turn around on emails and 1hr wait on the phone when trying to end one of our PCP deals at the beginning, middle and end of April. Still not heard back about a complaint made at the time some six weeks since it was made. I genuinely hope you can find some peace either with this car or without it. My fuel pump issue combined with whats went in the last few months with skoda has me looking for a VT at the earliest opportunity. Heres hoping for the best 👍

Just seen you can get a puller for around six or seven quid on Ebay, much cheaper than a replacement rear screen 🤣

Something similar to a bearing puller is ideal, applying pressure to the arm and using the central mount as a lever to pull it out. Its held on by a combo of friction and the bolt so it's likely that penetrating fluid will loosen it up alone

If I remember correctly they are activated by water pressure, no settings at the business end. I had mine freeze open a few winters ago, which was a clear cause and effect. For them not to go down there would need to be a blockage, some sort of seal that has worn, some debris etc. Is it every time?

That looks pretty ominous. From day one of buying my VRS I've been arguing about the state of the paint. When you mention it to a dealer you would think you've asked for an unconditional refund. If you're in warranty take it in for an inspection. If not seek some professional but not biased opinion on what's best.

Is your lease through Skoda or VW finance? If it is then go to the VW finance website and look for the forms. You can submit a form and they will get back to you. The answer time on the Skoda finance has been around 45 minutes to forever. One of our skodas ended on the 19th of April. We tried calling and emailing at the beginning of April, got a reply via email on the 6th asking for even more security details, we replied but didnt hear from them until this week. Meanwhile they tried to take the balloon payment off us for not getting in touch. Having a right nightmare with them and understand your predicament.

We have 2 skoda, the wife got a fabia monte carlo a few months after I got my VRS, the monte gets a snow foam, sponge bath and rinse. The VRS got the full treatment including wheel cleaner. Both had knackered centre caps. They are just crap. No other way to describe it. Good luck with the replacements, hope they hold up!

I had 2 sets of these on my last VRS, it was due a 3rd set when it went back less than 3 years old. My current VRS is approaching 18 months old and somehow they've been fine. I'm not doing anything different. If I was ever challenged on the 'it's the way you clean them' I'd offer to walk them round their own forecourt and show them every single car in stock had the same problem. Absolute pain to be fair

I enabled this on my 2019 MK3. There is an option in the infotainment that allows you to set an alarm for Xmph above the posted limit, or you can just turn it off. In over a year I've never seen anything other than speed limit signs, so if you have a system showing no overtaking signs it's either more advanced or incorrectly configured some how. I enabled mine using OBD eleven and have had no errors.

We are at the end of a PCP on our fabia monte. I was going to buy it outright and then sell it on to Arnold Clark for a small profit and some convenience. However, that ship has seemingly sailed as AC have shut up shop like everyone else. Other options given to us on Saturday were to refinance or have it collected. If we were to give it back then a 3rd party would be involved. My question I'll be asking Skoda is what happens if the 3rd party cant do that and who has liability for the vehicle in the meantime. If my contracts up then I'm not insuring it or taxing it and dont want it cluttering the place up. I've no use for a car the mrs isn't allowed to drive!

Had the same issue with my 2016 VRS 220 in its second year (around 13k miles at that point). Didnt find an explanation, had it topped up but it was going down again when I traded it in.

Spoke to Skoda customer complaints manager again today. They arent interested in anything until there is a complete failure. So I need to drive my car around hoping it breaks down. Great policy.

Hi! Exactly my sentiment. I was dealing with the workshop manager who was in charge of warranty work. His take on it was a noise was subjective and proving it to skoda would be impossible. Therefore Im left in no mans land. My supplying dealer shut up shop, so I have had to travel to Carlisle (50 ish miles) and to dumfries (80 ish miles) in the hope of getting help. I have no leverage over these people. Those distances dont sound like much but in west cumbria that 50 miles can take me 2 hours + and for the dumfries trip I had to leave at 6AM just to be there on time, in the snow. So yeah, Im at a loss. I wish the pump would eat itself, I really do. I hate this reliance on fault codes but this is a service industry rather than a car selling one these days. The impression Ive been given is that it would have to implode before skoda would look at it. I got a quote to replace it, near enough £500. The last dealer wouldnt invest any more time checking it out than having a listen during the service. So yeah, kind of 'meh'

I would be interested in the outcome as I am in the same position with my VRS. However, just before christmas we took our little fabia monte along to arnold clark with the idea of trading it in against something a bit bigger. The car goes back in march anyway so we can get rid of it for free so nothing to lose. They looked around the monte, it has 1 mark on the boot lip where something has scratched it loading and unloading. They came back in and said it was immaculate, then instantly offered us 1200 less than the handback buy it now price from vw finance. While they were busy talking I ran it through the 'arnold clark buy my car' website as an immaculate car and got an offer 600 higher than the end value. They were a little surprised when I showed them. In my experience the dealer will knock you down for any marks but sell it at an immaculate price anyway, or at least try to, thus winning twice. Just like options dont seem to affect trade in prices but bump up sales prices. You are dealing with untrustworthy people, so keep your wits about you...

Hi Dan! In a word, no. After being completely fobbed off by the dealer in the first instance I had to drive to Scotland to visit another. In this case they agreed that there was a problem, which was a relief. However, they wouldnt do anything for me as no fault codes and they were scared that the claim would be rejected by skoda and someone would be left with the bill. Therefore Im stuck with a car that is annoying to be in, embarrassing to have passengers in with me and zero hope of it getting sorted unless the pump goes bang. Which sadly it hasnt shown any signs of doing so yet. Result for me is cutting my losses or putting up with it. Ive had a few weeks to ruminate on my last experience so I will be firing a token amount of grief at Skoda and then no doubt being told Im wrong. My confidence in Skoda and the VW group is pretty shot at this point. We are a two Skoda household but our local dealer is now 50 odd miles away and are useless. One skoda goes back next month. Im waiting for mine to break even a bit more and it will probably be going too. Best of luck getting yours sorted. From what Ive been told there are 'no reported examples' of this problem in the dealer network and even skoda technical (biggest misnomer since 'master tech' in my book) havent heard of it.

I have a noisy fuel pump in my 2019 TSI. At idle, or under stop start it will make the priming noise you get when you first start the car. In my case it never stops, it will do it until the ignition is turned off. You can feel it through the rear seat, you can also feel it through various fixtures in the cabin. One dealer said it was normal, its not. The noise you have explained sounds like what both of my VRS's have done, whereby a buzz is heard for a few seconds after the ignition is turned off. Ideally hearing another car under the same circumstance would be helpful. In my case the local dealer went bust, the next dealer is useless and a patronising liar so Im left having to travel to Scotland in a few weeks for a decent disgnosis. If the pump is £220 and theres an hour labour on top I will be tempted to have it done and persue it through small claims using an independant inspection of the old pump, which I will no doubt have to buy back off them.

Its about a 3 click operation via obd11 or vcds, very easy. I had to turn mine off as it was vibrating something in the dashboard, according to the dealer it was that or dash out. Took the easy route!

Its around £140, I had it activated on my MY16 and wasnt that impressed to start with. I started using spotify later on and started using android auto more and more. Now Im in an MY19 and I use it every trip, it does my music from spotify (letting me select tracks etc, above what I can do with bluetoooth), I use google maps for navigation and it gives me message updates through the head unit. I use it a lot now, its quite restrictive I wont lie but it has its uses. Probably just and so worth the money if you are keeping the car for a few years.

No umbrella in my 2016 VRS, umbrella present in my MY19. So that narrows it down 🤣
