If your display is telling you you need a service then the car it is obviously not set up for variable servicing no matter what the dealer is saying. The service schedule for all VAG motors is either Variable of every 12 months if you do less than 10k per year.
Cost wise it sounds like they have quoted you the 2 year inspection price, ask for a 12month Oil Service and quote the info you have found on-line. Are you contacting the dealer you bought from?, you can go to any Skoda dealer so you could try shopping around.
Yeah i took it to the place i brought the car from, i will ring about for cheaper quotes.
Thanks for your reply

Morning guys, my 2016 VRS is coming up to a year old with only 7500 miles on the clock.
My display is saying oil service in 3500 miles or 60days.
And an inspection in 12500miles or 365 days.
I rang skoda to ask about a price for oil service and after taken my details i was told my service is on variable and is not needed for the first 2 years regardless what my display say. Im abit confused as the car is saying one thing and the dealers saying another.
I was also told that the first service will cost £210 even tho it states on there site £150.
Would you guys just get an oil service or shall i leave it another year?
I dont have any service plan and am looking at keeping the car a good few years.
Thanks.

Hi guys, im looking at putting my 2016 vrs in for its first service in a couple of weeks. I have read on a few threads that if you have had any mods done through VCDS that skoda will reset back to factory if they do any updates so you will lose all the changes thats been made. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Has anyone had there car in without this happening?
Thanks.

I am also looking at putting a stage 1 on my 2016 vrs iv mainly looked into revo maps myself, so be intrested to see other views. I did post the same question few weeks ago cant find the thread to forward on.

I got my candy white 2016 vrs roof and spoiler wrapped 3m black gloss you cant notice a difference with the black pack.
I get so many complements on it i thought with the spoiler it might be too much but im glad i got it done.

Having recently had a Stage 1 Revo map (over 300bhp reportedly), Stage 3 must be crazy fast!
Curious what clutch you are using?
How are you finding the stage one, What car did you have this fitted too?
Looking at getting a revo stage 1 myself.

Wow, that's some cost! Do you have heated screen as well?
Yeah had heated screen too, luckily my insurance covered it tho with and excess of 65.

Iv been quoted £1850 for full sports cat back non res, which is what im willing to spend.Anything will improve the noise from stock!
Ant's sounds nice, increases the very muted standard noise.
A few options and depends how deep your pockets are.
What sort of budget do you have? Ant's system, new will set you back over £1000.
Most from down pipe will cost well over £1000. Catbacks only should be about £350-500

This is my Milltek Catback. This was when I first got it but the sound has settled down now. I turned off the sounddaktor as well.
That sounds great mate.

Gone the custom route. Tailored to my specs, looke far superior to off the shelf exhaust systems
Out of interest what do you mean by custom, what have you had done?
Cheers.
-
I've done it. Got myself a full milltek exhaust system with sports cat and non res on my vrs estate 2.0 tsi dsg and it's sounds amazing
This is what im looking at, is the noise much noticabe inside/outside of the car compaired to the stock?
-
Has anyone upgraded there stock exhaust on there 2016 VRS? If so to what, pros/cons
Looking into a milltek myself just would like to hear what other people have done.
Thanks.

I went through my insurance cost me £65 and was told when i was in there that if i didnt go through them them it would of cost me £1200 which i couldnt believe.

Is the rear wiper automatic?

Was the Spoiler removed for the wrap, do you know if it's bonded and screwed on or
Gloss black ?
Thanks
AG
No the spoiler wasnt removed i was a little bit unsure how it would look but they done a really good job, I beleieve the spoiler is bolted and bonded.
Yeah i chose the gloss black you cant tell any difference from the black pack on the windown/grill.
-
Not that im aware off i havent seen any features that can enable it.
-
How does wrap compare to Plasti-Dip, cost wise?
A single can of Plasti will more than do your spoiler.
Im not sure how much it would cost to plasti dip and also dont no much about the product, but i paid £230 for the roof and spoiler which can last upto 8-10 years can be treated the same as the rest of the bodywork and can be removed without leaving any residue.

my 2016 is due its first service (oil change service according to display) its just over a year old and coming up to 9000 miles.
just been quoted £190 from Skoda instead of the £145 that's advertised online due to not being on a certain plan. What has everyone paid that their first oil service?
Thanks.
