I’ve had this happen a few times. Holding the on/off button down until it goes black and the Skoda logo comes up fixed mine.

Was it still slightly out after like mine?

It’s not had a clutch etc. I’ve had it from new. Never in an accident. Only thing done recently was new front suspension, cam belt and water pump. I will leave as is. Thanks for your reply 👍🏻

I had my wheels aligned today using the Hunter system. 1.2tsi Skoda Yeti 2016. Had adjustments done but still have red values after adjustment. Anyone with knowledge of alignment understand this? I will query it with specialist but closed until Monday now. They didn’t indicate a problem. Ive attached the report. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Hi all, Having an issue with my front wipers missing a spot on screen. Bottom passenger side, about a 5” spot where the arc stops. Wiper blade doesn’t quite have enough pressure as the window curves. Tried new blades and same problem. Arm is tight, spring is fine, I’m at a loss. I’ve attached a picture, not great but that’s the area, passenger side, boot on corner. any ideas? Thanks all.

Hi all, Does anyone know how to remove the top of the centre armrest? 2016 Yeti SE. It’s developed an annoying rattle that seems to be in the sliding mechanism but I can’t see how to remove the top. Many thanks all.

Hi all, I’ve just had the timing belt changed on my 2016 1.2tsi Yeti due to it being 5 years. Advised that water pump doesn’t need changing on this model as it’s not part of that kit, is this correct? Bit confused. Thanks all.

Hi all, My front wiper has decided to suddenly start tapping on the A pillar, no idea why?! Wiper blade is fine and arm doesn’t feel loose. Any ideas? Thinking it may have moved on the spline due to icy window friction?? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

It’s madness that they are still churning out the DQ200 in new cars across the various brands. Surely they must have subtly ‘improved’ the unit?? I guess the same box is now in the Kamiq just released?

Our other Yeti is a late 2016 with the updated 1.2tsi engine. Do you know if that still uses the same DSG box DQ200 or did they update it? Thanks.

A moron?! Or have a disability of the leg like one of my parents has! You have every right to expect a certain level of quality and longevity in an auto as much as in a manual. They are not sold as inferior products.

Just thought I would update this thread. Replacement Mechatronic unit fitted, crack in the housing, so the usual issue. Skoda customer service were awful, didn’t even acknowledge the problem exists. So about £1200 lighter now and will move the car on, Skoda and the VW Group have lost a customer. Apparently there is no real guarantee the replacement mechatronic unit won’t also fail as nothing has changed in the design. We have a 2016 Yeti DSG in the family and that will also be going as I have no confidence in the brand anymore. I almost bought a Kamiq DSG a month ago, thankfully I didn’t go ahead.

Not until tomorrow as everywhere closed over the weekend but it’s going to be eye watering. Im in Cardiff so if anyone knows of somewhere friendly drop me a line please. Thank you.

Looking like I’m up the creek without a paddle. Service campaign (which is a joke as they don’t even advertise the fact anywhere unless you get rinsed at a main dealer) was not carried out by independent. A 6 year old 35K miles car gearbox should not be failing but the might of the VW Group will outlast me in a battle. Its my parents car, I have a 2016 identical model and to be honest I think I will get shot quick before I get any issues. Totally lost faith in Skoda. Was in the market for a new Kamiq, no chance now.

Just checked, there is but doesn’t say what. Says to call Skoda Customer Hotline, will have to do that in the morning. Pretty disappointed in our independent, they should be picking up on these things, it goes yearly and we request everything needed is done. Bracing myself for a big bill 😢

Many thanks, it’s not been to a main dealer it’s been serviced by an independent so doesn’t look good. This surely shouldn’t be happening on at such low mileage, I doubt Skoda will admit any fault. We certainly weren’t contacted but are the second owners so no surprise there really. Not sure the next thing to do? Get the fault diagnosed so get it towed to independent I guess?

No, I’m pretty sure it hasn’t, does that mean it’s new gearbox or does software fix this issue?

Hi all, We have a 2014 1.2tsi Yeti DSG and the gearbox has just failed. Working fine then came out of the shops, car started fine, put car in drive - nothing, car won’t move, showing a D followed by a spanner alternating in the maxidot. Does this also in Park, Reverse etc nothing at all. Car revs fine though. Sounding like me failed gearbox. Just got towed home through breakdown cover. Anyone had this problem? Car is obviously out of warranty but only done 35K Miles, thoroughly fed up! Just after any input or advice on how to proceed with this? Surely this shouldn’t be happening at this mileage? Hi all, I have a 2016 1.2tsi Yeti with a rattle, clatter. It appears to be on gear changes and worse when approaching speed bumps and then accelerating away. So in down and up changes. I can replicate it when I’m in 5th and ease off the accelerator and then gently tap the accelerator as the car is slowing, it’s a momentary clatter/rattle. Hard acceleration doesn’t cause it. Any ideas, it’s going in on Wednesday for its second service (16000), Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as I’m sure the dealer will say normal even though we have another the same that doesn’t do it! Thanks all.
